RFK Jr.'s 2024 POTUS campaign

In 2007 I was considering supporting Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich. I picked Ron Paul based on gun control. I believe elements within the U.S. government either caused 9/11 to happen or allowed it to happen. Why would I let that same government take away my right to own firearms? RFK Jr. is also, unfortunately, bad on guns.

That said, there is no Ron Paul in this race. Right now it looks to be a two way race between Desantis and Trump. I like senator Tim Scott better than either of them but I don't think Tim Scott is a Ron Paul either. Frankly I don't see RFK Jr. beating Biden, but I'm hoping he'll poll high enough to make the debates and force Biden to answer serious questions about vaccine mandates and this foolish war in Ukraine. We shall see Sam McGee.

Yeah, that's a deal breaker for me as well.

Assuming Trump gets the nod for 2024 and he's not dead or in jail, I'll probably write in Ron based on Trump's "Red Flag" support and vaccine support.

He's gain a lot of respect in my eyes if he would just put aside his got damned ego for five minutes and sincerely apologize for "warp speed".

Yeah. This early in the game I simply want RFK Jr. to put pressure on Biden. As for the GOP field I don't particularly like any of them. I'd love to support Tim Scott, but it looks like he's worse than Biden on Ukraine.

Senator Scott Statement on Vote for Defense Spending Amid Ukraine War
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) released a statement on his vote to approve defense spending amid Russia's attack on Ukraine.

“Throughout the war in Ukraine, the Biden administration has led from behind—waiting too long to provide too little support,” said Senator Tim Scott. “With this defense spending bill, Congress is stepping in to send a clear message to Vladimir Putin and dictators around the world that the United States will not tolerate their bullying and aggression. American strength at home and abroad is the only way to ensure security and freedom for our people today and generations to come.”

Good grief, it sounds like he's possessed by Lindsey Graham! Is there just something in the S.C. water that makes senators particularly stupid?

Strategically I'm considering a cross over in the primaries and voting for RFK jr. The democrats aren't going to be smart enough to figure out that he's the best of their bunch so they're gonna need some help. Here in Georgia they'll probably try to run Stacy Abrams or some stupid s*#%.

Republicans should definitely do this. Make it a WIN WIN.

Less important whether Trump or DeSantis is GOP if the Democrat is Biden or worse.

Well the democrats are never going to seek out the anti-establishment candidate in their primaries. They're too busy either (A) switching over to republican primaries to help the republican establishment squash any 'fringe' (i.e. non-establishment) opponents or (B) they're lockstep in line with the DNC. I'm slightly less concerned with specific policy as I am keeping the anti-establishment sentiment alive, and right now, the left is devoid of any serious pushback and is LOOONG overdue for its 'tea party'. My mother is as pro-Trump as MAGA can get, but she recognizes RFK jr's not one of the annointed ones. Even bought his book about Fauci.

Non-establishment liberals were run out of their party by the Clinton/Bernie fiasco (not that I would have been particularly happy with Bernie, but the anti-establishment sentiment was there) and resigned themselves to obscurity after being met with resistance (which kinda sounds like us, TBH).

I can't wait to see what the Democrats response is going to be when RFK Jr. attacks Biden by saying he knows the vaccines are dangerous.

I would accept JFK jr. over HRC, Biden, Sanders, Warren, Harris, Obama, Schumer, Pelosi, and so many others.

At least he has principles and integrity.

You know what? Screw it! There is no Ron Paul this year. Rand should run, despite what my friend Matt Collins says, but he won't. Neither Trump nor Desantis are perfect on gun control, and in his zeal to stamp out "wokeness" in Florida, even actually black history, like the story of Ruby Bridges, are being cast aside. Tim Scott, while good on race relations and police brutality, is a full throated neocon who thinks Biden isn't doing enough damage to the Ukrainian people. RFK Jr. called out corporate socialism on Tucker Carlson! That's epic!

So at this point I'm behind RFK Jr. The GOP will likely keep the house and might take the Senate. On the gun control front we have to get better on our messaging on how to protect schools. I'm working on that on my end. Look for the launch of a new YouTube channel soon.

Edit: Note. RFK Jr. is now the candidate who must not be talked about. Remember when that was Ron Paul?

Democrat primary will be stacked with cross-over voters.

A Kennedy is running for the Presidency and the media is largely ignoring it or calling him a "nut."

Why?

Because he is calling to end the Ukraine War and taking on Big Pharma.

I really wanted to see Ron Paul vs Kucinich on the Presidential debate stage. Or even Rand vs Bernie. A true small gov against an honest socialist. I mean Obama wasn't a socialist. He was a corporatist. McCain wasn't a conservative. He was a corporatist as well. Some of the best political discussions I had back in the day were with Kucinich supporters. I disagreed with them on some issues, but by and large they knew what was up.

I kind of forgave Trump on vaccines at first. I figured he had a boomer approach, and he didn't mandate them. But the way he claims, to this day, that warp speed was one of the greatest accomplishments in human history is too much.

I also heard an interview with RFK, that early on around the 2016 election that Trump was looking into the vaccine/autism connection, but apparently he sold out to Pfizer. Whether that's true or not who know by the words. But by actions, it appears correct. If that's incorrect, Trump really needs to admit that he was wrong. That was one of the greatest disasters in huan history.

I don't know if I could fully back an RFK run, but I could certainly take part as a "wrecker".

Th gun issue is so important to me because, if you do not have that issue "right", you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of man and government.

I'm definitely crossing over to vote for RFK.

He's said some scary things in the past regarding gun ownership and climate change, but no scarier than what we know about Trump or DeSAntos.

I'm probably not voting for RFK either, but I wish him the best. That party needs a breath of sanity.

What are the chances RFK Jr. ends up running as an independent and splits the liberal vote? Or would that result in an automatic assassination?

If he changes his stance on gun control and climate change I'll gladly vote for him. Until then, he hasn't earned my vote.
