Revealed: Ted Cruz's Financial Disclosure Report

When he sells out his principles and makes a bad vote let me know.

Until then I'll stick with what I said.

I think this is all much ado about nothing and I don't think this type of infighting is beneficial to our cause.

This isn't really infighting. We have verifiable proof that his MaverickPAC is helping elect the next generation of neocons and supporting people like Cotton even though Cruz for his own good is clever enough not to sound entirely like Cotton and he's helping nurture the neocon love child himself George P.

I imagine Cruz feels very comfortable and is welcome at Bush type events back in TX and he's helping establishment candidates.

That's not particularly good for our cause.

He has a property in DC since 2008 with a creditor described as US Senate FCU, what's that?

FCU = Federal Credit Union Oh, I see you got that.

It could be a relative, or maybe he refinanced? I don't like Cruz either. I remember Bush talking about small govt, then turning into.....Bush.

LOL @ "bankster connected mutual funds".

The Horror!

Me too!! And many others here!

"Millions of dollars invested in multinational corporations and in bankster connected mutual funds."

Calling them banksters in this context implies that there's something wrong with this. I don't think there is.

It's a statement of fact. I'm not implying anything just offering an objective analysis of the report

I'm wondering how he got that in 2008. He was still a solicitor general so maybe qualified through some national organization though I notice on the site it's mainly confined to DC staff of those organizations.

If I had a capital account at a law firm, probably?

I see you have an explanation for everything Cowlesy :)

So did Chris Dodd...

What about the Senate Federal Credit Union loan from 2008? How do you get one of those?

Apparently Cotton confronted Cruz over his opposition to drones at an AEI event.

And at a closed-door March gathering hosted by the American Enterprise Institute, sources said that Cotton tangled with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz over the GOP’s orientation on national security, answering a Cruz discourse on drones with what one attendee called an “impressive critique of the Rand Paul position and what would happen if the party went down that road.”

MaverickPAC is supporting a mixed bag of candidates and that includes a few neoconservatives. Just as FreedomWorks is. Is FreedomWorks also "neocon"?

well itshappening, if I were a freaking Senator, then PROBABLY.

Seriously, how are these financial disclosures remotely sinister? The guy is a harvard educated lawyer who has been successful at actually practicing law, and a good enough orator to become a U.S. Senator. If I was assessing his creditworthiness for loans, i'd give him those kind of rates too.

He wasn't a senator in 2008 so the question remains how he got the Senate FCU loan.

goldman sachs. partners of the banking cartel?

His wife is a Vice President.

Check out her bio:

Ms. Cruz, who graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in economics and international relations from CMC in 1994, is a vice president in the Private Wealth Management Group at Goldman Sachs, Texas. She and her two partners work with clients to implement high net worth portfolios across a range of investments and asset classes, including complex derivatives products, private equity, hedge funds, single stock risk management, U.S. and international equities, and fixed income.

Ms. Cruz began her career as an investment banker with JPMorgan in New York, focusing on international structured finance and subsequently on Latin America mergers and acquisitions.

In 2000, she served on the Bush 2000 Campaign in Austin as one of President George W. Bush's three economic advisors. She also served in the Administration as the economic director for the Western Hemisphere at the National Security Council at the White House, advising the President and then-National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice. She also is a former director at the U.S. Treasury Department and was special policy assistant to Ambassador Robert B. Zoellick, then Chief U.S. international trade negotiator.

In addition to her private-sector work, Heidi served on the Board of Directors of Living Water International, dedicated to providing clean water and sanitation equipment in the developing world. Her publications include the book chapter, "Expanding Opportunity Through Free Trade," in Thank You, President Bush; a chapter in Exchange Rate Policies for Emerging Market Economies; and a Harvard Case Study: "American International Group." She also is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

After graduating from CMC, Ms. Cruz received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and a master's of European Business from Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium.

He wasn't a senator in 2008 so the question remains how he got the Senate FCU loan.

No it doesn't. You don't have to be a Senator to get a loan.

Eligibility to join the United States Senate Federal Credit Union (USSFCU) is generally based on employment or, in some cases, affiliation with one of our Select Employee Groups. Employees/Affiliates of Select Employee Groups - not all of which are Senate-related - as well as their immediate family and others in their households, may become members of United States Senate FCU.
