Reuters: Trump up by 4% since last wk following comments on women and abortion

5-day rolling. Wait till Monday, he'll probably be tied with Cruz.

a tie sounds a bit drastic? the media will pound him for losing Wisconsin though (which it's looking like he will)

Only Cruz can lose. Trump doesn't need Wisconsin, has a plausible reason to lose with the media coverage, and will win NY handily right after that.

Cruz might as well drop if he can't get Wisconsin.

Trump needs to take some delegates from WI, to make up for the 50 SC delegates who are going to Rubio.

It would seem at best they'd become unbound on even the first ballot - the decision is in May (?)
If any other states consider that Trump reneged - it will be a free-for-all on the first ballot (presumably on July 19) that favors Rubio I think.

Trump’s Reversal on GOP Pledge Threatens Grip on South Carolina Delegates
"South Carolina has not yet selected its delegates to the national GOP convention this summer.
According to South Carolina and RNC rules, the delegates would be bound to Trump on the first ballot.
A challenge, however, could be filed after the delegates are selected pushing to allow the delegates to operate as free agents on the first ballot."

Those polling numbers can't predict the future...

And Donald Trump's smart. And he's got hair!

I'm thinking his popularity will pick up after he's been
in office for a year or two. By then, the wall will be
up and all those contracts will have their eyes dotted
and tease crossed.

America will be winning long before then. Have you seen
the nation's new first lady? (...OMG. I hope you're not
thinking Bill Clinton!)

The arguments often used by Trump supporters are, "but look at Hillary's numbers" and "Ronald Reagan also had 70% unfavorability 6 months prior to the election"
