Reuters/IPSOS National Poll 3/8-3/11

Why do people keep choosing the top three unelectable candidates?

why is this poll so different from gallup?
on gallup paul never went above around 15%
more emphasis on southern states by gallup or something?

I think the masses don't vote for who they most agree with.
I think the masses don't even vote for who is most electable.
I think the masses vote for who they perceive *will win*. They want to be able to say that they "got it right".

Sad, I know... :(

Agreed 110% No one wants to vote for the losing candidate and perception is everything when you refuse to look into the facts.

I realize we tend to focus on Ron Paul in these things but DAMN, the GOP just got their asses handed to them by Obama. That will be the same reaction next November by the way.

This poll was from 3/8 to 3/11 (Last poll was from 2/2-2/6)

where was the poll where Ron was ever at 21% nationally? How can you say he is down 10?
And I notice they did NOT poll Ron against Obama, at least in the part they wrote up, and he usually does a lot better than AT LEAST Gingrich and Santorum.

Maybe because their campaigns are using a strategy to win and ours is....well...

Cut it out. If you want to bash the campaign, go to the vent. 20/20 hindsight is perfect, and the campaign doesn't have nearly the money to do all the things people here want them to.

Santorum had no problem on a "penny" budget.

Santorum had no problem on a "penny" budget.

He had the media, and it is traceable to a very questionable GOP only poll that showed a fake surge a week before an election that let you register on site, which showed a surge only when compared with a prior poll that properly polled all who intended to vote not merely GOP. The media siezed it. They will never work 'for Ron' that way no matter how much money the campaign spends or where they go or what they do. Santorum was polling LAST and doing pathetically until the media cast him as the 'conservative' ignoring his truly awful record until he had worked his way to being the 'main challenger' of Romney.

I hope when obama gets re-elected and attacks iran all these dumb ass idiots who voted for romney or santorum realize how stupid they are and should of voted Ron Paul.

I didn't realize there was a poll with paul over 20% nationally.

Anyhow, don't worry folks, we continue to advance and win in the grand scheme of things.

Come to NH if you really want to push the ball forward! =)
