Politico shows that only 13% of the Republican voters were in the 18-29 age bracket.

We need to get this demographic registered and to the polls. This is a big contributor to how RP has finished. How do we get this age group on board in the upcoming states?

It's impossible politicians have been trying for 20 years and not one has succeeded. They just don't give a fuck.

Guys, why do we keep comparing the good Dr. with these morons. We know they don't come close to RP's stands. The real issue is how many people support Dr. Paul.

Last primary we were struggling and came behind Thompson. This time, we can add Thompson's votes, with Guliani's votes and we are still beating them. It shows they are no longer top candidates because they are too far behind us and consistently fall behind us. We know Ron Paul is the best, but a lot of people are hesitant to vote for him because he seems weak. I am sure these same people would not think Guiliani is weak, but we consistently smash him. Once they see this throughout the states, I think he will keep coming up. The media tells them this, now the numbers show the media is wrong, so Ron Paul fans, hold on, we are in for a ride.

Mel, michigan shows less support %agewise than the other states. How can we be moving up?

I can say this because I had been canvassing in Michigan and I dont care what anyof you say about polls, HQ, or anything else the #1 reason is is not in first is because people have no clue who he is. That is why you guys really all need to go to states close to you or your own and go door to door we have time now lets go.

Try to keep this in perspective. Dr. Paul did NOT campaign in Michigan. Mitt, McCain and Huckabee all were very busy campaigning here. Most of the UP people don't even know who Dr. Paul is. ALL of these votes for Dr. Paul were strictly grassroots generated. I think 4th is respectable.

And most of those 13% voted for McCain and Romney, this age group should be the base of this campaign.

CNN just said it is coming down to money. McCain on fumes, Rudy 7m and Huck not much.

I think the longer we are in the more hear about Dr. Paul. He is running higher on votes then 5 others running. Each time the public sees him coming in higher they will be more likely to vote.

Many states to go yet.

How the hell is McCain getting 30%???

I have never even met a McCain supporter IRL or online. :D

They are the "others"
They don't know shit about politics, they don't really watch the news, and they don't absorb anything substantial when they do. They lack critical thinking capacities and don't want them. They are the ones who don't know who they are going to vote for until they get into the voting booth. Then it's eeny-meeny-miney-mo. McCain doesn't have any supporters. He just has voters.

We have to appeal to them. I tell you, as a 26 year old, not many people I know are interested. Once I start talking, since I am, they start to want to talk more. I have friends that call me just to see what I think and I don't know shit. I talk about stuff that appeals to us. Which is how incredibly screwed we are economically. I talk about the financial strain our age group is feeling because in order to survive in this country we were told we NEEDED college. Well we all took out incredible loans and can't pay the bills now. Why not? "Well, Ron Paul says...." and there it is. Then they start that whole, how can just one vote make a difference. They feel they have no control and we have to constantly be telling them that if 10,000 college students said that and did what you are doing then that is why. There has to be an example to lead the younger crowd. They have to know they do count and they have to know they are in control of their future.

McCain has name recognition. Everyone knows who McCain is. Not a lot of people know who Ron Paul is...YET!

RP needs to host a rally at every major college campus in SC.
