3rd palce in the straw poll,
in my father's VERY mormon neighborhood.

The mormons are voting in blocks. There were easily 10 Romney college volunteers from Utah and California, just at my voting location. We had one Ron Paul volunteer on hand. No other campaign had any volunteers. McCain had a bunch of signs on the road, they must have just left them there in the evening. The mormon kids told us their second choice was Paul, but they were supporting Romney because of their religion.

And the the red bull girls stopped by, FREE REDBULL ! The mormon boys got their pictures taken with the red bull girls.

The whole process was very disorganized, but I thought it was fair at least in my precinct.

They also have kids in blocks. That isn't an attack, they just do.

U.S. history class had taught me the mormons were known to do everything in group such as voting. Back then people did not like mormons for that exact reason, group influence.

Are Mormons allowed to drink Red Bull? It has caffeine in it, and I know they can't drink coffee.

EXACTLY!... The STRATEGIES the other candidates use are OUTSTANDING! I have posted before to USE OUT OF STATE, RP supporters, MEETUP.com GROUPS/MEMBERS to ASSIST in the NV CAUCUS state.

There needs to BE MUCH BETTER "DIRECTIONS/OPERATIONS from the RP CAMPAIGN STAFFS and MANAGEMENT.

NOW FOR NV... most of the candidates were using out of STATE HELP, ASSISTANCE, SUPPORT... yotta yotta

Let's remember this for AZ and CA!

wait, was the redbull thing ironic because mormons are not supposed to have caffeine (drug)? not even sure if that is true, but i have a couple of mormon friends and they do not drink caffeinated beverages

my 2 cents worth. First lay of the Mormon bashing. And second learn from them for the other caucus states. They stick together and know how to vote for delegates. They maybe learned this from their history of being beaten up by the MSM in the 1800's and maybe also because they got together beforehand and figured out who was running for delegates and how to vote.
We on the other hand don't have that type of organization. So maybe we can learn something.
Again just my 2 cents worth. (2 cents used to buy a steak dinner) And I'm not Mormon but do have some admiration for them. Especially after what they did today as a group sticking together.
That said Lets kill McCain. Yeh Nevada. You rolled us a seven on the come out roll.

I'm LDS a.k.a Mormon, and I'm voting for RON PAUL!!!! And only drugs, coffee, tea, alcohol, and tobacco are the real no nos advocated by the church. Caffeine in soda drinks and red bull is a personal decision that a lot of members decide to avoid.

I'm answering this because I'm hoping it was an honest question. Mormons are taught not to drink coffee or black tea, however as far as I know (which includes some margin of error) there is no doctrine against caffeine in and of itself. I do know though that a lot of members do work on keeping their caffeine restricted.

One other point I must make. The Mormon church(actually the official name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) is made up of PEOPLE just like any other church. We also believe in free agency & choice which means that you will find people throughout our church at all different levels of spiritual and mental development just like you would in any other church.

This happens in any large group of people. Heck just look at our Ron Paul group, there are all sorts of different people here. It's just as foolish to say that all Mormons are (fill in the blank) as it is to say all Ron Paul supporters are (fill in the blank).

So know that the doctrines we are taught are kept pretty much the same over time, but how well the people are following them can vary at any time. There are all degrees of activity or inactivity amongst the members of the church.

I myself have been disappointed at times in how many of our members seem to miss the teaching about the importance of our constitution. They, like many of the other candidates give it lip service and say they support it, but must not have ever really studied it or the founding fathers to be making the choices they are. But like I said, we believe in free agency and choice, the people will progress at the pace they choose to progress. I love my church and the doctrines which it teaches, but remember the members are everyday humans just like anybody else. They are just as vulnerable to the sway of the MSM and whatnot.

I say we stop worrying about this and focus on helping Ron Paul win the nomination.

Thanks,
Carla

Can you provide us with your precinct number, the number of delegates total, and the number paul got? Thanks!
