Rest in Peace, P-Nut the Squirrel

Squirrels and racoons are wild animals that deserve not to be exploited by social media money hounds.

I am just as much against killing the squirrel which should have been released into the "wild"
but I also don't like those who abuse wild animals for their own reasons.

That's not what this is, you should read the true backstory before jumping to conclusions. The baby squirrel was rescued after the mother died. Mark Lungo took care of it and DID release it to the wild, but at that point it couldn't survive on its own. They then decided to start an animal rescue sanctuary and were using the income from social media to support that business.

Since Trump, and as clearly outlined by his Agenda47, the acceptance of "Nationalism" became the norm. Whether there is a difference between between "nationalism" and "communism", I equate them the same, in that individualism is no longer regarded, and money is transferred from my pocket into somebody else's. Whether it's for folks on Welfare or the "American Academy" or the Federally-Funded Militarized LEO makes no difference to me - it is the Centralization of Power, the transfer of wealth and theft all the same.

Nationalism isn't your enemy. Nationalists aren't the ones who took your sovereignty.

Your sovereignty was taken a long, long time ago by Globalists.

And since then, guess what? The Globalists have been winning. By a lot.

The only ones even trying to actively oppose them??? Nationalists.

Nationalists aren't the ones who took your sovereignty.

Nationalists are the ones who are trying to get your sovereignty back and give it back to you.

=======================

And for the record --

Your conflation of communism with a lack of sovereignty, is exactly the type of damage to the global human pscyhe that I've talked about before, that Abraham Lincoln created.

I don't consider myself an advocate of communism, but there's nothing inherently anti-freedom about the idea of voluntarily contributing to and relying on communal resources. Is it a good idea to try to make it work on a significant scale? Probably not, but being a bad idea is not anti-freedom, or as you said, "theft".

This should be moved to another thread. The only reason I responded was because trump was pictured with those "cute little animals" in a states rights thread. IE: Indirect Support for Nationalism, and/or a "King" who redistributes my money.

Didn't the thing bite somebody? Isn't it S.O.P to kill animals that bite people and check for rabies? Sorry but I put people before animals. If the thing bit me I would want it killed and checked out too.

I believe, being on social media is what killed Peanut.
Had the government not noticed him in the 7 years he lived, I doubt it would have ever noticed had he not been on social media.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Saturday reacted after the news of ‘Peanut’ the squirrel's demise broke the internet.

I do as well, but as far as I know, no, the squirrel never bit anybody.

Even if it did, as I noted in the OP, squirrels and chipmunks do not carry rabies.

The raccoon they had, on the other hand, I do not know and they are major vectors for rabies, the second most common source behind bats.

Whoa wait a minute...it bit one of the "investigators" after the fact.

“On Oct 30, DEC seized a raccoon and squirrel sharing a residence with humans, creating the potential for human exposure to rabies. In addition, a person involved with the investigation was bitten by the squirrel. To test for rabies, both animals were euthanized,” the agencies said in a statement, CBS News in New York reported. “The animals are being tested for rabies and anyone who has been in contact with these animals is strongly encouraged to consult their physician.”

I had already posted this, but I'm starting this thread because this story is now blowing up.

The state of NY raided this man's home, without a warrant, seized a pet squirrel and raccoon over rabies concerns and euthanized them.

I can see being concerned about the raccoon, they are major rabies vectors.

But squirrels are not, neither are mice, rats, rabbits, chipmunks and so on.

Seems like they just to kill joy. Kind of like this little brat in "The Killing Fields" who destroyed a concentation camp garden just for the hell of it.

If I understand correctly, one or more State-empowered Karens unlawfully broke into Longo's property without a warrant, and in the course of handling the animals, one of them was bit by the P'Nut the squirrel. So they euthanized P'Nut, along with Fred the raccoon (who as far as I know didn't bite anyone at all) - because "rabies".

Sounds to me like it was just an excuse to flex their busybody, make-work "authority" after they got pissed off that a household pet bit a stranger who invaded its territory and cavalierly manhandled it - which seems like a pretty goddam stupid and incompetent thing to do, if they were actually concerned any of the animals might really be carrying rabies.

So fuck them. People like that (and their supporters) are why we can't have nice things.

I heard somewhere recently that rabies is almost 100% eradicated, as in there are only a few cases detected per year?

How is it they get away with calling us Nazis, when some podunk clam cop broad has a uniform that looks like Hugo Boss designed it for the Waffen SS?
