Request For Remedy- Remove Foo As Moderator And Restore The Forums' Freedom

The problem is when you need something done (as in getting donations) or need information quickly (such as Rev9) posting in a section with 1 member reading it is not going to help anyone. Isn't that why we are here, is to help each other? If we are able to raise $1000 for rally, or get a name band to endorse RP, isn't that better than having it filed away in the right section? If there are 120 people in a section, that is where you need to post this information.

Also when foo held this mass moving, the forum numbers dropped from 126 to 70 with in 10 minutes. I think Foo in general is a fine mod, but I have no idea what happened today. If this would have been the policy of the board from the beginning that is fine. But to have this forum running this smoothing for a while now and then pull the rug out from everyone is unfair and is going to make some people mad. Heck most of the threads stickied in the "main" section should have been moved by those standards.

I hope everyone starts using the new post tab to alleviate problems, but to move someone's post if it is truly important (such as fundraising, brainstorming ideas, or urgent questions) is counterproductive to electing Ron Paul. Think what this would have done in the middle of Xar's fundraising, or working on spam spartanburg project? So foo please mod in moderation.

Yeah. That's not going to earn me points here, although it's not as if it's Jr. It was at a fundraiser for a Congressman I thought was great, but turned into a warmonger.

really though... josh or bryan... please look into foo's moderation methods (particularly in hot topics whilst you were away). really unbecoming of a moderator and certainly reflected poorly on the whole board. not just his remarks, but need to continue, even egg on very unproductive threads.

I happen to agree with the good Dr. we should all have some fun at getting him elected.. All work and no play makes you very dull IMO

Although organization would be nice, and I don't like threads getting buried on the 2nd page, the plea for allowing donation/quick request threads to remain in the popular sections is a valid point. At some point organization falls to reason and the goal of this group - so I say just let people post donation/important threads in the news/discussion, and kick the stradegies and supplies out.

Edit: and this latest flurry of moved posted does seem like power abuse - please stop, foo.

guys i have been using the new posts button at the top for about 30 minutes now and i had never used it before... this feature is AWESOME!!!! it shows ALL posts in order of when they are posted recent first and u just click on new posts again at the top to go back to the list... not only that but it keeps all of the sections active because you see all the posts from all sections and reply on the actual thread... u dont have to search around for anything or go back 3 pages when u come back from being out of town or anything....
