REPORTING FROM LONG ISLAND NEW YORK (SUFFOLK COUNTY CD1 ED 228)

I am in suffolk, i am about to go vote for Ron. I have never done this. What time does it close and what do I do?

i can't tell you what time it closes, i have no idea. What you do is you go up to the people at the table and give them your last name and first name and they look you up on a list and you sign next to your name. Next they hand you a ballot and a big secret ballot thing so nobody can see your ballot when you fill it out. You just go into a booth and fill in the circle next to ron paul and you insert the ballot into the secret ballot holder thing and leave 1 inch slack up on the top. Next you go to the voting machine and insert it into it and it takes it. Boom you're done we need all the votes we can for ron paul!

I feel obligated to post this in every thread like this:

More important than analyzing low voter turnout = find 10 more Ron Paul votes, do whatever it takes to get them to the polls, then repeat.
This is your chance to make a difference, for real.

I just voted in Suffolk County NY at 6:40PM I was the 23rd person to vote at CD - 2.......ED - 142

RON PAUL 2012

EDIT:
Just got off the phone/w him. Apparently he will not be voting. He said the poll worker who called the HQ told him that while the paperwork was mailed in time, they had not processed it - and that they could not process it 30 days before an election... so, sorry. He also suggested he fill out an affidavit but in the same breath said it wasnt going to do anything. DAMN IT.

That's what PROVISIONAL Ballots are for! He must vote and if the race is close they can use his vote if necessary. Tell him to go back there!

"I understand the way this game is played."

- Ron Paul supporters

LETS GO RON PAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REPORTS EVERYWHERE ON LONG ISLAND HAS BEEN SUPER LOW TURNOUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Updategot word from my Brooklyn guy. One more for Paul. I'll try to send the other guy back and no word from the other I was worried about yet. Did get another guy from work to vote Paul though so here's to hoping I get more

that is a troll. NO ONE who has Ron Paul in their hearts would be pulling for Romney/Rubio. Even if they were willing to hold their nose in the general for Romney, it wouldn't happen in the primary (although they might just not vote) and they would consider Rubio a negative. Or am I wrong? Is there a single Ron Paul supporter here who likes Rubio?

uh no

Wife and I just got back from the poll in New Hyde Park, NY. Asked one of the people there how the turnout was and he said there were only 30 people since 6am today!!! That means our two votes account for almost 10% of my voting site! Seriously, Ron can take New York if the Paul supporters turn out!

Exactly, thats why get on the phones and call every single soul you know, and tell them to do the same (and whoever they call should also be told to call... and such goes the domino)...

A low turnout suggests our folks didn't turn out either (at least believe it as such)- so we need to get them out.!! Call! Don't trust your friends to go out and vote.. CAll them and if they sound lazy, pick them up and drag them to the polls!!!

"One place in Buffalo didn’t have any one as reported on the news."

From a relative upstate NY Said it was very light south too. I made sure they all got out to vote despite
heavy snow in places, one had to call a plow to dig her porch off to get out.

My sister just voted in Bayside, NY. She was voter 17! Bayside is a densely populated suburb. Can't believe how low the turnout is!

My friend's Gma and her old lady friend went to vote for Paul in Nassau today and I voted here in Queens. YES - it felt so good to FINALLY get our turn to primary!
