Report: Trump ’95 Percent’ Likely to Tap Mike Pence as VP (wtf??)

Either the Washington Times is trying again to spread misinformation to destroy Trump or Trump is trying to drive away his base of support to give Hillary the win. Pence basically gives the finger to the American worker on trade and supported all the globalist trade agreements.

This could be final straw that broke the camels back in supporting Trump for allot of his supporters.

Report: Trump ’95 Percent’ Likely to Tap Mike Pence as VP
http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/07/11/report-2/
Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump is “95 percent” likely to pick Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate, according to the Washington Times.

Sources close to Pence and to the Trump campaign tell Washington Times’ reporter Ralph Hallow that Pence is the probable vice presidential (VP) pick.

The Trump campaign announced Sunday it would hold a campaign rally near Indianapolis on Tuesday night, furthering the rumor that Pence will be announced as the VP choice.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Sen. Jeff Session (R-AL), New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) were among others in addition to Pence that have been floated as possible vice presidential choices for Trump up until now.

Wow, somehow nominating a candidate who will help him get mainstream republican votes is what will break the camel's back for you guys. We live in a world where the VP is far less influential than a political donor and this virtually unimportant position is what is going to do it for you.

If this is true, this is the most sensible move he has made since getting the nomination, you may not like it but it will increase his numbers in the polls and Teflon Don will just continue to do what he wants without caring about the feeling of his supporters like you. Its not like you people donate to his campaign so why listen, right?

He probably knows he's going to lose reelection, so if he's going down, he's gonna go down hard.

It says he would step down to campaign with Trump which would shield him from the loss. It would say allot about Trump's intentions in the race that he would give a total loser that kind of cover. Trump would lose Indiana with Pence on the ticket for sure. It would effectively mean Trump knows he is going to lose and is giving out favors in the process.

This is a WAPO article, simply could be BS to smear Trump and get people to look at other options. From the looks of comments across the internet including my own, if that is the case it is working for them.

Trump has trust issues even from people that support him. In this case people are looking at his VP pick to ally those fears.

But do it because of his choice for VP, I understand worrying about people he might nominate for the Supreme court, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State, Secretary of the Treasury etc etc but seriously who he wants as VP should be the least of your worries. Just think of how irrelevant and invisible Joe Bidden has been this last 8 yrs and that is most likely what you get with a Mike Pence VP.

I thought you were one of the loud contingent here that basically says Trump is fraud. That he simply changed his positions for this campaign to tell people what they want to hear to gain popular support and rather will be legislate as an establishment politician once in office.

I never discounted the possibility of that theory. We know where Hillary stands on issues but Trump was rather an unknown variable. Trump has no prior record on policy other than his statements these last few years combined with is flip flops from years past. So we are taking his word that he is sincere in his policy positions posted on his website.

Therefore his VP pick in this case is extremely telling and important whether he is actually sincere on his policy positions and not as some here say legislate as an establishment politician once in office.

Why lose your mind over something the Washington Times said? If it happens, there is plenty of time for that then. Right now though, you are allowing them to jerk your chain.

So since Trump is ambiguous- his campaign strategy is to pick a VP who people trust on policy issues?

Report: 100% chance that Trump supporters will find a way to reconcile whoever the eventual choice is with their own preconceived notions of what Trump actually stands for.

GOP insiders are pushing Pence on Trump. We'll see if he buckles.

Would that be kind of like how 99% of the people here thought Ron Paul didn't want to stop abortion at the federal level; but totally leave it up to the states? lol. Like that?

So, perhaps you should keep your snarky comments to yourself.

Well, I always pegged him as a "poll watcher". He'll say one thing kind of as a "maybe" to see the feedback, to gauge his support base. Looks like base feedback is bad for Pence, so if Trump does choose him he's either going against base or not paying attention. Either is bad.

I don't think Pence is a good pick for liberty minded people, but neither is Trump, so .... but from an electoral college standpoint, picking Pence is better than picking Christie. Trump is already a nor-easter, no reason to add another to the ticket. Pence helps solidify the Midwest.
