hey guys, here is brief of what happened in CR-26.

i got there at 6pm and there were already people there setting up for their candidate. i placed all of my RP stuff out so people could grab and take. anyone one who came up to the table i tried to engage in conversation. i did not find any of the people i contacted from the HQ phone contacts (slackers) !

so eventually i was able to identify 4 people who were on the fence about RP, my wife and I and 1 guy who was an RP supporter. the speeches for candidates only identified a speaker for RP (me) romney, thompson and mccain. nobody else spoke for the other candidates.

we were limited to a minute or two so i had my wife give me a sign, she gave me the thumbs up when i was talking to low and then the "wrap it up" sign as i was going to long. i had a whole speech planned but i had to cut out a few things as i didnt want to lose the crowd. so i pulled a George Costanza and went out on a high note :D .

here is the fun part, if you watch the video nobody want to run for precinct chair, so i put my hand up and get 46 of the 86 votes , now the vote is close and we would have to have a recount and i hear groans. so quickly thinking i bow out and concede (hoping it gets me some sympathy votes for delegates) ha ha it works ! a bunch of people came up to after this and told me i should have stayed running and asked if i wanted to run for delegate.

so long story short: we get 7 votes out of the 86 (i got the 4 borderline people to commit) and we got 3 delegates ! we came in 5th in my precinct ... sorry guys i tired, i should have stayed on my script when giving my speech.

i have a video but it need editing down to fit on you tube.

Great work, especially on getting the three delegates.

Supporters like you who step up to the plate when duty calls are the ones who really make a difference.

^lmfao stop that tho...shouldnt get to mad at iowa they dont really mean to much

Great effort man!

It all we can do. Give it out all and watch the chips fall.

I'm proud of your efforts!

Oh! Way to get 3 delegates!!!! w00t!

Excellent job!

I'm not a fan of the caucus system and it requires guys like you to take the bull by the horns and step up. Thanks for your efforts.
