Rejuvinating article... Interesting

I like it, too bad he said he will NOT run as independent or third party. i agree with the article that fundraising would skyrocket. Because of that letter the other night, I'm expecting it to plummet big time, which I think unfortunately would force him to drop out because he said he'll stay in as long as money keeps coming in.

You are a serious downer. I wish you would take a hike instead of bringing people down with your misguided opinions and predictions of failure.

There we go, let's just encourage everybody to leave. Hope for the best prepare for the worst.

No wonder Obama's getting all kinds of supporters, his supporters are nicer and don't tell each other to buzz off.

Well he may also be concerned for hi and his wife's retirement. Possibly he needs the job. I also think he could help the cause more if his time was better spent promoting how but he would have to be taken care of. Maybe a non-profit org or something.

Dr. Paul is a multi-millionaire with a well diversified portfolio. ...if I remember correctly he has over a million dollars in gold & silver alone. If he needs money he could make 10x as much as a speaker & author than he ever would in Congress.

Beyond that, I like the article. The only thing I don't like is the ham-fisted suggestion that he name his new party the "Proservative Party." That's just corny as hell. It should be called "The Conservative Party."

I agree. I seriously doubt Ron Paul has any financial problems. Keep in mind that the reason so many of us jumped on board was his stance on economic policies. If he wasn't financially sound in his own finances how could we trust him with the nation's?

Ron has written several books on economic policy and with his position on gold/silver I bet he has a pile of it that he bought years ago and has held. That alone should make him financially stable for years to come.

Come on Elliot, have a little vision. I actually registered the domain almost 3 years ago, always felt a little like Ron Paul regarding the Republican party, not quite a GOP conservative, but definitely not a left-wing Progressive Democrat driving around in a cardboard card. People like simplicity, and we've done a few surveys regarding the Proservative name, very positive results. You have to think about a lot of things, including people's response to the name "Proservative" on a ballot next to the candidate, etc. We are essentially conservatives at heart, and the idea is to keep generally the same name, not introduce too much change to the "naming of thing", but give it just enough change that people recognize.

Pro is a positive spin on the word conservative.

Final sell: Proservative = Progressive action committed to Conservative values.

First version of the site is up, basic interest list forming. Unlike others right now, this is not really forming a new company, and definitely not "for-profit".

We start as a movement first, and see where that takes us.
