Regime change in Venezuela?

So hypothetically if you had to choose between Maduro or Milei to run your country, you'd pick Maduro?

Argentina’s austerity measures spark debate

Among its measures was a legal change that allowed the sport clubs to convert to public limited companies, with private investors and the ability to list shares on the stock market.

In other words, the move paved the way for the clubs — and popular football groups, in particular — to shift from a nonprofit model to a profit-driven structure, if they chose to do so.

But the pushback was swift. Big-name clubs like Boca Juniors and its rival River Plate released statements, pledging to remain nonprofits despite the decree.

Still, the leaders of Argentina’s sport clubs warn that the austerity measures could have as devastating an impact on their survival as the push for privatisation.

Under President Milei, the worst economic crisis in decades puts Argentine ingenuity to the test

“I haven’t had a job for a year, it’s now my sole income,” said Alejandra, who declined to give her last name for fear of reprisals from neighbors. Every four or five patrons, she puts on gloves and empties her bucket into the trash.

Milei Scrapped price controls how is that good?

Milei scrapped hundreds of price controls. He slashed subsidies for electricity, fuel and transportation, causing prices to skyrocket in a country that already had one of the world’s highest inflation rates.

You'd pick Maduro over Milei???

Obviously when you switch from a massive socialistic government to a limited government, you're going to have lots of initial pain.

I'm confused by your post. This isn't rocket science for any advocate of free markets.

Maduro is a borderline communist. You know that's bad ... right? Last time I checked Venezuela ranks as the second least free country next to North Korea.

The only question I have about Milei is whether he's really going to shrink government and it looks like so far he is.

I can't answer for him, but you need to consider that we've changed so much, that markets just aren't going to be free anymore.
There is a tiny group that has all the money. It's not freedom. So, the laissez-faire, it played out. It's over. Without something to protect
the public's interest, the public stake, the assets of the people, the nation, then it's just feeding time for the oligarchs unless they are held off.

Remember Boris Johnson? he lied that he was a populist. He just used populism to gain the advantage this is what the Globalists wanted.

Also there was a picture of Boris Johnson with a 2030 Agenda Pin on his clothing not so long ago.

If that's the case why do you even post on a free market forum if you believe there's no such thing as free markets?

Your Hero Trump messed up Venezuela with the sanctions because Trump's NeoCons didn't like that chavez won.

This would be the third time that US govt keeps trying to a coup in Venezuela and this is not because they care about the people.

The opposition member is a Yale and WEF Young Global leader.

Chavez and Maduro messed up Venezuela, and Venezuela under them has been our enemy, doing things like sending their violent prisoners to enter the US as part of the illegal invasion.
I wish we would not meddle at all, but I'm not overly concerned about Trump's actions.

Bush was the one who first tried to regime change and push for a color revolution in Venezuela agaisnt Chavez.

It almost worked until the majority of the people in Venezuela stood up for Chavez.

Then you have Donald Trump who came in and put sanctions against Chavez because he won.

Trump was never a anti war candidate when he was the establishment candidate just as well.

If the majority supported Chavez they have come to bitterly regret that idiocy.
And both Chavez and Maduro have been stealing elections for many years now.

"Have been stealing elections for many years now"
Just like the US govt had been making sure there are no Anti EU/US governments in Europe with the fake elections in Europe to make sure those that are "Selected"

Are either Pro Washington or Pro NATO/EU.
