People think Bush caused all of the problems, when in reality is just a puppet. The entire administration is full of neocons and neoliberals.

People like Keyes distrust Bush so much that they jump on the socialist bandwagon without researching the candidates. People are stuck in the 2 party charade.
95+% of the country is incapable of thinking out of the box.

I don't think it was. What I mean is a job cannot be free, you must work. So that is not a handout. I mean, are the guys in Iraq socialists because they got a government job? I had a job in the defense department, does that make me a socialist? Or does it make me a neocon?

Alicia Keys probably has millions of dollars (if she's got a good contract) and will probably have a lot more in the future. Don't you think she might be interested in financial issues like the federal reserve and excessive taxation to support war? The economic slavery of the banking system seems right up her ally.

I was working on an editorial spread about Alicia Keyes and her new movie Smokin' Aces... I found out that she is a self-professed socialist. proof

Yes, this is a terrible suggestion by the OP. By her own admission she doesn't think rappers bear any responsibility for what they talk about, which is complete BS and contrary to RP philosophy. I'd like to tell her that there are people in the hip-hop community that choose to rap about things of substance beyond the scope of the Gangsta rap vocabulary. Just listen to Underground Hip-Hop artists such as... Jurassic 5, Hieroglyphics, Ugly Duckling, Lifesavas, Visionaries. These guys know they won't be making millions on MTV, but much like Ron Paul they stick to their principles.

u all should really look into the black panthers....they were not a bad group as the gov wants us to believe...i myself read alot about them...huey P bobby seal...mumia...assata shakur...george jackson....these people were great people who fought the gov and did alot for their communities that the governement was not doing...i suggest u all do some reasearch....huey P used to walk around with an AK-47 in one hand and a law book in the other....he would patrol the police to make sure they werent breaking any laws...amazing people with brass balls....i wish our young america would wake up and become aware as they were back then.....these people were only teenagers when they started this movement

I don't think she'll do much for Ron Paul's chances (nor will anyone or anything else, for that matter).

No, it's not a joke. It doesn't matter if "Ron Paul's chances" improve. Chances are everywhere and anywhere and wherever. The only thing that matters is what actually happens. The existence of the chance is the only requirement in allowing a positive outcome.

If and when Ron Paul is elected president, people will look back and see that it was obvious it would happen, and that the chances of it not happening were very slim. Because our entire country was built on the principles of his campaign, and allowing fascists to continue to plunder us and the world was unfathomable.

The article says she wants to do political songs. The article says she believes in conspiracies. The Federal Reserve is the biggest conspiracy around. She has millions and millions of dollars...

It seems like they base their beliefs less on principle and more on just conspiracies. So they will grab onto whatever and whoever also believes those conspiracies rather than actual ideas or philosophies.

So all our troops in Iraq are socialists? At least the Defense Department is constitutional. But you are a socialist too if you pay any taxes. And that was before I saw Dr. Paul on Morton Downey Jr. and later read Harry Browns book and my office mates were sent to George Bush Sr.'s mercenary first Gulf War.

People change. That's kind of the point.

I'll believe Alicia Keys is a socialist when she donates all her money to charity or a socialist organisation. A rich socialist is a fascist. I'm sure she's against fascists. So I imagine she may change her position somewhat.
