Recession on its way! McDonald's To Chip Away At Dollar Menu!

I have constantly been amazed when they have been able to hold the price for so long.

But it is an odd recession when you cant get fast food cheap. Usually the presence of dollar menus means there is a recession. Or the feeling of one.

Me too! Those that do are killing yourselves slowly.
We're all dying anyway, aren't we? I didn't eat fast food for 10 years and then we took a cross country road trip. If you're trying to get anywhere on an interstate in a reasonable amount of time fast food is pretty much the only option. I decided I really like the way the food tastes so what the heck? Might as well be thankful for the sustenance and enjoy it.

I'll be concerned when Burger King takes the Whopper Jr off of their dollar menu. I love them.

they'll just put more soy in the burgers instead of beef.

god knows what they inject into their food to make it taste good.

Do people really think that that stuff tastes good? For years, the only things I could really stomach from that place were the cookies in a box, Egg McMuffins and the soft serve.

Another Washington store? My god, I've been researching Washington for so long and been wanting to move there. I swear that I see & hear things about Washington all the time.

Another reason to move there I guess.

I landed here in Seattle two weeks ago. The climate is awesome. The people all find someway to be polite and rude all at the same time. It is hard to put my finger on it. Basically they ignore each other, but when forced to interact, they are polite, but distant.

Example: Im sitting in a starbucks, there is a guy sitting outside the front door with his chair and ass blocking the door. A family tried to get in and the door hit his chair. He didnt even look up, just shifted his chair two inches and kept chewing, like they werent even there. No "im sorry", no "excuse me". They just opened the door and went through. No interaction at all.

Yesterday I was at the grocery store. This woman blocks the aisle. I wait, and wait, and wait. I make noise, wait some more. She knows Im there, but doesnt care. Finally when I turn around and go the other way, she says feebly "sorry".

I have many more examples. Im not sure what to make of it. The people in the rest of this state are not like this.

Well there was some interaction there, they hit the guy's chair with the door. Too bad they didn't hit it hard enough to knock him over. :D

I dont know if anyone else has noticed, but Mickey Ds non value menu items have gone up in price considerably over the last year. To the tune of 20-30%.

Did you ever say excuse me? She might not of understand the noises you were making. :D

Their premium chicken sandwiches are getting fairly expensive now, close to $4.00.

That is just one example of many dude. People on the street dont even make eye contact with each other here. The only place Ive ever been like that is Asia. Even Los Angeles is not like that.

Anybody seen the commercial where they talk about the dollar crashing and then the guy walks in and says " I got this double cheeseburger for a dollar!".
Oh the Irony!

I think a lot of people in Seattle are depressed from all the cloudy days they have a year. I would bet that has something to do with the lack of eye contact. I don't know why people in Asia would be like that unless it is cultural or something, or they just don't like foreigners.

Stop being a pussy and tell her to get out of the way next time. Why would you sit there and make noise...and then walk away LOL

I was at the store today (probably not the same one). I was standing in an aisle with my back against a shelf. This woman walks down the aisle, stops right next to me, and says, "Excuse me" - like I was in her way! So I take a step forward (no invisible wall there) and she passes, and I step back to where I was. But yeah, some people are just jerks.
