Reason TV @ Save Our Schools Rally in Washington D.C. (Matt Damon) :)

That video was very easy to watch but very difficult to listen to.

The interviewer is about as beautiful as can be (easy to watch :)) and the people she is interviewing are hard to listen to (DUMB!).

I'm getting off my computer now to go look for that women. Must find her...

lol :P

PS:

"yeah we should give each child a billion dollars"

This world is going to go down the fiscal shitter. What a fucking wingbat.

Matt Damon... You think job insecurity makes me work hard?
Reason.Tv... You have an incentive to work hard.
Matt Damon... I want to be an actor, that's not an incentive... that's the thing... paternal, intrinsic, MBS blah, blah, saying a teacher will get lazy when they get tenure.
Matt Damon... A teacher wants to teach, why else would you take a shitty salary and really long hours... and do that job?
Wow, so working 180 days out of the year, all the union perks, tenure, no competition, rarely accountable, benefits, etc etc. Obviously Matt and Mom never worked at a start-up company.

I wish the interviewer would of replied this to Matt's rant: So Matt the $20-25 Million a film, plus back-end or the fame/fortune/treatment have nothing to do with incentive in acting?

And then his next line about teacher tenure, wish the interviewer would of brought up all the "TEACHERS OF THE YEAR" laid off due to lack of tenure.

I don't think its necessary to comb through his strawmen retorts.

Damon believes theres no incentive to be a better actor simply because hes an actor and he will be an actor regardless?

Great. He should put his money where his mouth is and donate all of his earnings to his monthers teachers union and start acting on the streets for pocket change.

those idiots are the ones that are going to go completely apeshit and then wither and die when this sham of a financial system we have now collapses.

Pretty much.

It's quite pathetic that a human being is so willing to both steal from others for some idealistic nonsense while simultaneously enslaving themselves to the State.

Fuck em though, really. If you want to physically and intectually enslave yourself to a power elite, go right on ahead. Just don't drag me into it.

Oh wait...Too fucking late for that.

I think I'll get drunk tonight. But first I'll pick a random number for my lock on my firearms that I won't remember later.

dude with the blue shirt and white beard sounds like Mr. (Mrs. ?) Garrison from South Park

im always surprised by teachers like these that demand more money for the children, but when you ask them what the think about their school district administration they have nothing but terrible comments and basically talk about the oppressive nature and control etc. funny stuff.

If I got a billion dollars for school I think I would play hookie my entire life and not bat an eye about it.

ya know, due to my major, when i went to college there were a lot of the teacher types in several of my 300-400 level classes.

after having to deal with some of the schmoes and after having to read some of their "academic work" i professed (and this was before i leaned toward liberty): none of those people will ever be allowed to teach any children i might have.

i don't have statistics, i can't prove it, but, just like with people who become cops and military, people go to school to be teachers because they're pretty much guaranteed a job (or they were in years past) and/or they don't know what else to do with their life.

Weekends off, Holidays off. Regular hours, home every night, etc. Pension.

Yeah. What a load of crap. Thats the thing with ideologies that have the blind support of the msm and the state. When half way challenging questions are actually presented, they respond with stupid answers (so confidently, mind you)

I dont have a problem with getting paid more. Its only right that someone wants higher wages. Why not? The problem here is that these people are robbing the place blind with the help of politicians.

You have to LOVE your job in order to work those long hours? BS. The typical career will require you working 50-80 hours per week YEAR ROUND and chances are youre NOT doing something you "love."
