Really bad question...

Guys don't worry, anyone in the media who has a backbone will exploit McCain's display of utter stupidity. If they don't, well...just another example of a lack-luster media.

It totally outed McCain as an economics dumbass after he went on record earlier saying what an economic guru he is. All he could do was name drop...and it was obvious he was grasping. He looked so presidential...NAWT!!!!

I think ya'll have missed the entire point of the question.
Unfortunately, unless the media picks it up and runs with it(unlikely), or a billionaire suddenly gets scared that McCain might win and thus helps Ron(unlikely), I don't see this question making an impact on the voters :(.

Could not have been worse. We are trying to attract uneducated voters here. Does he have any advisers?

Er I don't know what he was talking about, he was bumbling along and came out with some weird answer. Seemed like McCain just thought it was silly and he used it as free time to sell himself.

Shoulda been:

Paul:"Senator McCain, you have stated that you want our troops to come home from Iraq with honor. You have also stated that you want our troops to stay in Iraq for 100, 1000, or 1,000,000 years. I'm a little confused by the apparent conflict in these two positions, and I'm hoping you could clear up exactly what your position is regarding bringing Americans home from Iraq."

Whether,or not the populace understood the question,it was obvious McWar didn't.

Wait for the you tube, and look at the expressions on his face,i'm sure the audience didnt miss it either.

The Plunge Protection Team! The guys who came up with the current growth plan.

I agree. And most people here know a lot about what RP is talking about. So how is an average undecided voter supposed to get it??

I hate to say it but it was sort of typical of Rp in the debates - talking too far over everyone's head for the average American to know what he is saying.

I can honestly believe people will think - McCain was asked an awful question, but answered it well because he said he will use all of his advisors.

yeah right.

they suck mcCain's crap.
if they had a spine they'd be honest about the surge.........you know, the war.

It was a great question, and asked incredibly poorly. I made Dr. Paul look as bad as it did McCain. Remember, most people watching don't know these things either.

Fuck asking a question.. he shouldve made a god damn statement...

"I have a question for the American People... the economy right now is the number one concern.. and I want to know whether they want to support the four gentleman up here who want to continue spending 1trillion dollars overseas protecting the border and lands of other nations or whether they want that money spent here at home, paying down are deficit which is inflating our dollars and taking care of those who need taking care of while giving those who can opt out, the ability to let the free markets give them a head start on retirement savings ect."

GOD I'm PISSED

The economics pudits know

now more than ever that McCain knows nothing about the economy and hopefully they will be discussing that.

To anyone with a brain watching the debate it was a BRILLIANT question. Just moments earlier McCain had claimed he was a well versed economic expert. Ron then DIRECTLY called him out on it and he completely failed at answering it.

To those that think he should asked a different question.......why? By doing that you would just get the same old BS answers they've been spouting off all night.

To the SMART people watching the debate, which are the only ones that might evaluate the candidates using LOGIC and possibly switch support to Ron, it was a brilliant question. To all of the other people it probably didn't have much of an effect but that's irrelevant since they aren't going to be changing their vote for logical reasons anyway.

he's not very dramatic, I'd have loved to be on that stage tonight
!!

It's asking questions like this that makes me love Ron Paul, who else would bring up the PPT.
