REAL ID Act

Amazing. The ACLU's done something good for once. They kind of lost me when they assigned a Jewish lawyer to defend Nazi's who wanted to march in a community of Holocaust survivors, but whatever.

lol 1 little video certainly wont decide if I agree with something or not, I'll have to research the pros and cons for it.

Why do you support Ron Paul and what is your political beliefs? I know you have done alot for us but sometimes I wonder why? Is it just because he is anti-war?

Real ID = complete loss of privace and ultimately liberty. Please tell me the pros.

Because he wants to protect our freedom to say, "I hate Muslims." Isn't that so Hamadeh?

How is the Real ID going to stop someone from blowing themselves up in front of a massive amount of people, or crashing a plane into a building?

I'm a conservative Republican, coming from a conservative house hold, I believe in common sence, I would support Ron Paul regardless on his stance on Iraq, But I do believe the government has a obligation to protect people, just like the food recall, if we dont expect the govt to protect us from corporations who intend to make a profit by selling cheap food, who do we look for?

How do you suppose real id will help stop contamination of your food?

Ooh I know. Because the food will be chipped, my fork will be chipped, and I will be chipped, so the government will know what I am eating!!!! YAY!!!!

I'm not, I'm saying government will.

You saw that video of a guy ordering pizza right?

They can restrict your right to manage your health and nutritional needs.

I think Ron Paul said it the best, "Why don't they [government] put you on diet, I think you are little overweight."

I'd say. And sitting at your computer is going to get anything done? No. The people already looking here already know what side they are on, so there is no use sitting around doing something. The only way to get something done is to actively protest, and above all, take the fact that the REAL ID is unconstitutional to the supreme court, they will look in to it. But, will they listen?

NO! They will say it is for our safety from terrorist, they will say it's the only way we can crack down on terrorist!. Terrorist, bah, yeah right. We can stop them if we wanted to WITHOUT sacrificing our rights. They could have prevented 9/11 only if Bush followed the warnings (yes, terrorist were always good at giving warnings before an attack).

Act now, before it's too late.

If the government WAS protecting people there wouldn't be any recalls in the first place.

Isn't that already happening? In TN, I think, they just passed a law saying that if the waitress or manager thought you were a fat pig they could refuse to serve you on the grounds of protecting your health.

If I want to eat a bug, I'll eat a bug damn it and nobody's gonna tell me I can't. If my stomach doesn't want it, it can barf it back up again. That's MY choice.

i have called my congressperson and said i will prefer to look after myself, and please remove all the restrictions that supposedly are for my protection.
i redid my name in case that put me on a list o people to be protected some more.

It was Alabama, and it was proposed but shot down fully. It was kind of testing the waters for a piece like that. But hell in NYC they have banned trans-fats.

Why would you say this? Trying to pick a fight or something?

Goes back to a really old thread. I was offended that some people here were attacking and making fun of the Islamic religion. But the Muslims (Hamadeh) few other keen minds on here said everyone has the right to express their opinion, protected under the free speech. It got bit nasty.

I'm done in this thread.
