Rasmussen to release Obama vs Paul Results later today!

Argh. This would be so much easier if we didn't have to deal with these damn Republican primaries....ha!

For liberty!!!

Is it just me or does it seem like we lose many polls by 1 percent? Kinda weird. We lose ames by 1 % and now to Obama by 1 %

Lol, only 61% of Republicans would support Paul? Sounds like neocons are feeling a little hurt

Need to share these direct match-up results on facebook, in conversations, in editorials and elsewhere, as many times as we can. Keep getting it in front of people that not only is he electable in the GOP primaries and caucuses, but can defeat Obama.

Takeaways:

1. It's even better than it looks, because more republicans are undecided than democrats, meaning once partisans "come home", Paul would take the lead easily.

2. "Voters under 30 prefer the president, while Paul edges the incumbent in all other age groups." - are you f'ing serious? How would Paul lose young voters? Are they for the wars now? They like the drug war? Or what?

3. Win independents by 10 - AMAZING.

4. Win males by 11, but females like Obama. Ugh.

Try to keep in mind that if/when we get the GOP nomionation, we're going to have to do something to try to bring that other 39% back into the fold.

These numbers are simply awesome. Remember, it's early in the cycle, and we are polling like that vs Obama. Drudge bomb.

Also, those Iowa numbers are looking good. We MUST win Iowa. Also pray Palin doesn't enter the race.

I am pumped up more than ever.

Not really. Just run on his existing ticket. If we lose, have Rand run in 2016.

There's people that said they would prefer someone else. But given the option of having Obama for another 4 years or a conservative that has never voted for tax increases, they'll vote Ron Paul.

Takeaways:
3. Win independents by 10 - AMAZING.

This should be shouted from the rooftops. It is the #1 asset any politician has for the 2012 Presidential Election.
The fact of the matter is that there are more Democrats registered than there are Republicans so to win in November 2012, the Republicans NEED independents.
Obama understands this and he is laying the groundwork to run as the choice for Independents. He knows he doesn't even have to win amongst the Independents, he just has to break even.

Obama leads every Republican not named Ron Paul in the field amongst Independents.

We are very quickly getting to the point where the Republicans actually need Ron Paul.

4. Win males by 11, but females like Obama. Ugh.

We're going to have to go on a spree buying expensive kitchen appliances and selling them cheap right before the election.
2. "Voters under 30 prefer the president, while Paul edges the incumbent in all other age groups." - are you f'ing serious? How would Paul lose young voters? Are they for the wars now? They like the drug war? Or what?

A lot of under-30 voters vote Democratic no matter what. It has been that way for a fairly long time, and they usually become Republican as they get older. That trend has only recently began changing because Paul is a bit more radical and extreme than the usual gang of Republicans.

If we won the primary, I seriously doubt we would win the 18-29 demographic against Obama. We would perform far better than any other Republicans would, but we wouldn't beat him there. If we came anywhere close, though, it would indicate that we had won by large margins.

Don't make the assumption that Rand is Ron, they are two very different people. Ron has proven himself to be honest and consistent over many many years. For Rand, I have my doubts; for example, he does not appear to have the same foreign policy as Ron.
