Santorum is less than 1% in the national polls and shouldn't qualify, or are they letting him in because he was 1% in Iowa? They want him to steal some votes since he "won" in '12 I guess.
 
Yeah, they did the 6 national qualifiers followed by the 2 state qualifiers on the wings. Would love to see Paul and Christie go at it again.
 
Congratulations to Rand, it's clear that his not attending the undercard debate was the right move, and may have even prevented his poll numbers from dropping further. Now it's time for a concrete show of strength in the early contests. The story of the last month and a half was will he or won't he make the main debates, and our expectations have to go higher than that.
 
This is the best possible scenario after being cut. Now it's a "comeback"! He's catching on, I'm tellin' ya!

It would be cool if he said I'm back- or Guess who' back? Some of the headlines even say Rand is back! I guess in marketing terms it would probably be better to say Rand is bringing liberty back or something lol. Or bringing back the fourth amendment, something in that language that people tend to like.

I think including everyone who appears to have a real campaign is reasonable at this point, even if 8 is a lot. That's pretty much what Rand has been saying. Once the real voting starts they'll start making deals and dropping out and it won't be an issue.
 
Trump won't be there because he knows that he is playing minesweeper at this point. The reason why he said he could shoot people and they would still support him is because the opposite is true. People are more on the fence then ever and he doesn't want to say anything to offend any one of his voters in Iowa. He also would do better to get all of his supporters not to watch the other candidates. He is also doing this as a power play to say I win, those guys are the ones that lost already.

I hope you're so right! This just might have been Trump's worst political move EVER! He's going to regret it when the fencesitters watching the debate will come out of the debate with a clear better vision for what they want in a President! Just wait and see! :cool:
