Rands amendment to fund FEMA by cutting foreign aid fails 20-78

Both of my loser Senators voted NAY. Time to write more letters.

I just talked to someone in Cornyn's office. He said that instead of Paul's bill, he voted for another one (can't remember the name of it), that completely balanced FEMA funds with cuts in other government spending. So, I asked him about stopping ALL foreign aid and getting us out of all these wars. We talked about Libya and he said our troops are fighting under NATO right now. As if that is some kind of excuse. That led to a discussion of whether treaties can trump the Constitution. They don't!

Overall, a very frustrating conversation.

I so understand why our forefathers used tar and feathers.

I think this really shows that the Democrats are even worse on foreign policy issues than the Republicans are. People here often complain about neo-conservatives in the Republican Party, but I think the liberal internationalists are even worse.

What's the difference?
