I've only been on RPF since December (I've been NOBP since 2007), so I know I don't have much clout. However, in the months leading up to the Iowa Caucus, I followed Randi Shannon through Facebook. She was PRICELESS in her efforts with the Grassroots.

I personally know she spearheaded or helped open a Coralville Grassroots HQ in the weeks before the Iowa Caucus and was even interviewed by local media. I also know that she helped successfully spearhead a Billboard Fundraiser. These are just TWO things that I can attest to.

I absolutely back Randi Shannon -- I interacted with her on numerous occasions while trying to help Ron Paul grassroots organize in Iowa. Randi opened and ran a grassroots office for Ron Paul near Iowa City, Iowa, and have worked very long hours to help Ron Paul in Johnson County, Iowa. Randi's character is of the highest caliber.

Now Randi has decided to take her fight for liberty, limited government, and fiscal responsibility up to the Iowa State Senate. She will be trying to unseat a well-funded Democratic incumbent, and she's obviously unlikely to get any support from the Republican establishment, since she's a Paul supporter.

But this is another great example of the local activism that's been inspired by Ron Paul Revolution, so keep an eye on Randi, follow her on social networks, help promote her, and do what you can to help her get in the Iowa State Senate.
