What can we do in the future to combat what has happened so far? How can we fight the HUGE media bias? How do we get attention when we focus so much on the message of liberty? What helped Ron double his support from 2008 to 2012? What did we do that made us go back below Ron in 2008? Is it just the Trump factor? Cruz? We need to start a massive brainstorming branch for this immediately. We cannot allow this to happen again... What avenues would be good for that? Maybe start a separate thread for this?

I am considering traveling to NH for a few days to help the efforts. Anyone else going or live there?

I got a mailer from Doug Stafford stating that Rand has some prospects still in New Hampshire. I don't think this is over yet, but I think the massive turnout for both Rubio and Cruz has been a major setback, as was the surprising level of support that Carson got in Iowa. The only hope we have is for Carson and Bush to completely plummet in New Hampshire so that Rand can inch his way into 6th place in time for the next debate, which would probably mean that Rand would be one out of 6 people on stage, thus giving him an opportunity to shine on stage.

At this point it's looking more like a long-shot than before, and it will be an even harder task to break through the noise with loud-mouth Trump back on the stage, but I didn't sign on to this effort simply to throw in the towel after the first battle.

I hope we never see Ben Carson or anyone like him again in a political arena. I am surprised the Pyramid BS comment hasn't destroyed him.

The most important thing to do is learn and adapt strategies.

He won't be in the next debate in 5 days. There won't be enough polls that magically show him in 6th place by then.

To be quite honest, our efforts need to move to NV, ME, and KY.

Because one's opinion on the purpose of the pyramids is certainly the most important thing to consider when supporting a presidential candidate.
If Rand said the same thing would you have given up supporting him?

Perhaps that is our problem... "liberty" votes are the hardest to earn and the easiest to lose.

The Rand Paul is eagerly awaiting our answers.

The outsider / conservative / tea party type candidate got a HUGE percentage of the vote in Iowa - 66%

The problem for Rand is that there were 4 candidates sharing that 66% and he was the least popular of the 4.

If Rand did the same stuff, but instead of Cruz, Trump and Carson, it was Bachmann, Perry and Gingrich, Rand would've done better. But the establishment candidate won, and won in 2008.

"How can we fight the HUGE media bias?" You can't. You lose. You throw time and money at it out of guilt or something related to it. By now, you should know, we ain't winning, and if you haven't noticed how much worse things have gotten with media bias - across the board - not just Rand Paul - you haven't been paying attention. We're fcked, we lose, and you do what you feel like doing within this context. I kicked in money for the first time this cycle yesterday. Just guilt. I don't want to spent the time. Too much like Lucy and Charlie Brown and the football. I hate politicians even more now than 4 years ago.

same typical media bullshit. Rand was in 5th but they couldn't stop talking about Jeb Bush and Christie on fox news or whatever

Carson and Santorum are both skipping NH. Carson will stay in FL for a while, Santorum is going to campaign in SC.

Rand can get delegates in NH if he hits 5% or higher, so it's definitely worth going for.

Again no one gets it. Rand got swamped by Rubio and im starting to wonder if rand is any different from rubio.

If I were closer I would definitely go, but over 900 miles....so not possible. Hope you can make it! I will continue phone banking.

No kidding...people here are impossible. Very grumpy and negative...is it a man thing?

Some people here are a bunch of losers as they will tread on their own principles in order to identify with a candidate that's perceived as winner. It's not very individualistic. It's herd mentality. It's a shame.

Where I live, there is no liberty movement. There are no liberty candidates. It's rather sad for me to see how weak some peoples spines are. It really saddens me. The reason why I'm on this forum is because there is essentially only one liberty movement in the world. I'm not giving up on it. Neither should any of you.
