Rand Says: Any potential presidential campaign would include Jesse Benton

It contradicts the messaging that the candidate was trying to put out....

The messaging the candidate was trying to get out? Which was? A fake delegate strategy? Bilking them of funds on a fake delegate strategy? Or, having someone with a questionable past headline one of the speeches at the OFFICIAL campaign rally:

LOL. They should have had Vermin Supreme instead, at least he would have been entertaining.

BTW, for those people that don't know who Vermin Supreme is, and/or haven't seen his political speech(es) in a while, here's one:

This is not a bad article Collins, but nice try. It does however quote a "source close to the campaign".

But while Paul Festival is designed to celebrate the libertarian iconoclast and his fans, sources close to Paul's campaign point out that the bash could actually pose some serious political problems for Paul as he winds down his third and final White House bid.

If he doesn't go, the source explained, he risks losing his grasp on the leadership of the movement, and disappointing his loyal supporters — not to mention the 200+ delegates Paul has pledged to bring to the floor in Tampa. On the other hand, if Paul attends his party, he risks angering and losing leverage with the Republican Party right before the convention, especially in the event of any incidents or discord.

So the "problems" were only in the minds of the campaign, not the press, not anyone else.

Where's the bad press with this one? Unless you consider the comment about low attendance as bad press. wtf. ^

How is this bad press? ^

How in God's name is THIS bad press????? ^

This one is an article about Ron's campaign and mentions PF.

You really should be ashamed of yourself. This is really despicable of you. You are trying to use run-of-the-mill articles as "bad press" for PaulFestival and claiming it reflected badly on Ron's campaign. You're just disgusting. And relentless I might add.

As far as voters go [...] this doesn't mean educating them, it means showing them why they should vote for your guy (or against the other guy).

Well there's 15 minutes of my life I'm not getting back. You proved it got publicity...not BAD publicity!

BUT, he's protected. And has had members banned, by lying about things just like he is now.

He can make 100% false claims all day long, and the moderators and administrators leave his posts intact, for the world to see and possibly not know they are lies. The moderating team will delete posts that ask questions like, "Are you Jesse Benton?" though, to a member that voted FOR Jesse Benton to be Rand's campaign manager.

Maybe the Ron Paul Forums member is actually Jesse Benton, and the moderating team knows about it?

I mean, Matt Collins can say Ron Paul Forum members are not "our friends", while spewing complete garbage. But, asking if someone is a someone connected to the campaign isn't allowed?

Not at all... GB's election to the NC House was a victory, but it was a fluke because it was in a district that mathematically he should not have won. And he had no staying power... in fact I am betting that he can't get elected again in another normal election situation (in other words a fair fight).

I had plenty of "staying power," all the polling was indicating a strong reelection, which is why I got the worst legislative gerrymander in the entire State.

LOL....ya gotta be real careful when attending a Republican convention. You never know what those folks will find scary. It could be a black guy in a hoodie or a young lesbian walking her dog. A street musician who smokes weed probably gives them the vapors. Thank God Rand isn't the kind of guy going around putting up "Pants Up Don't Loot" Signs on his Facebook Page. :)

Does that mean you put it up on yours? Guess so. Interesting.

Just the same way that they leave yours, Doyle.

I won the black vote, as a Republican, on a solidly conservative platform. Their specific act during the gerrymander, was to remove my access to any of the black vote.

Just the same way that they leave yours, Doyle.

Please show me one 100% false claim and lie that I have posted. Please. I will gladly remove, correct, and/or apologize if necessary.

Here's one of your many, and just recently:
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showth...-here-is-why&p=5722128&viewfull=1#post5722128

You are a protected class like Matt Collins, and a liar just like him. Here's your full quote and post below, where you lied about a fellow member and what they did and didn't say:
"
Stop changing the subject. Your post straight out said that you didn't give a flip about who you hurt, as long as you could dig a knife into Collins by doing it.

It was stupid as all hell.

What makes you think they did?

Her post you originally quoted didn't say anything of the sort:
The 2012 campaign was far more troubling for me. The campaign was forbidden by law from coordinating messages with the grassroots. If someone on the campaign payroll was....say, creating alternate identities in an effort to steer the funds and the messages that the internet forum grassroots were funding at the time, it would have been a pretty clear violation of campaign finance law.

So, what are you talking about?

And, she is talking about Matt Collins being paid by the campaign in 2012 (see: working for it), and posting messages here on the forums during the campaign. I thought it was understood that Matt Collins was the "netroots" guy and so trusted by Jesse Benton that Benton called Collins about Tom Woods, instead of calling Tom Woods directly?"

Again though, where did she say, "I don't give a flip about who I hurt, as long as I can dig a knife into Collins"? or, as you said she said, "Your post straight out said that you didn't give a flip about who you hurt"?????

100% proven fact, based on your posts, you are a liar. Liar, liar, pants on fire. Probably also full of the digital diarrhea that you type all the time here as well.

No you wouldn't. It's not the way you work. What you like to do is to quote something and then start extrapolating all kinds of conclusions that are not proven by your "facts".

Specs took you to task on this type of behavior just the other day.

It starts with this post. Continue reading for the dialog between the two. I say this for everyone else. I'm sure you remember it quite well, Doyle.

What Specs was talking about was the Kent Sorenson issue and if Jesse Benton is guilty about it, which is 100% stupid either way (assuming Benton is innocent, though I don't give him the benefit of the doubt knowing what I do based on facts, actions, and the recording that was released). The campaign did pay him over $70,000. And Rand basically admitted in this interview that if the campaign did something fishy, like maybe filing the FEC reports incorrectly, the persons involved should just be fined; instead of facing jail time. Which, Sorenson is facing jail time AND fines in his PLEA agreement.

My main issue is the Mitt Romney issue. Agreeing to not attack Mitt Romney, and keeping that information from supporters until at/after the RNC. And you know, the fake delegate strategy they continued to pitch, wasting supporters' time and money doing so. And, the fact someone said this about the campaign:
We won't have money left over. What will be left is the organization, the movement, the lists, things like that. That will be left behind, and that's extremely valuable. Not a pot of money.

But we know that was a lie, because the campaign ended with a nice pot of over a million cash-on-hand. And that is now being used on legal firms to handle the Kent Sorenson FEC/FBI investigation issue.

You are a liar. Just like Matt Collins. And a repeat one, just like him.

Uhh... no, there was press about PF. And the entire idea of "no one will notice" is absurd in the age of the Internet... all it takes is for one bad article to get posted to the Internet and then repeated over and over.

As they teach at LI, you don't stop to kick every barking dog. Do you know how many bad articles about Ron Paul? How many bad articles about Reagan? How many bad articles about Obama? What were the top ten stories out of the RNC Convention 2012? Clinton Eastwood, Donald Trump, tropical storm, Ann Romney, Chris Christie, the Occupy movement, Etc.
The Paul fest wasn't even covered as a major news story.

At least thirty speakers spoke at the convention the first day. Twenty plus speakers spoke on the day Rand Paul spoke. Rand was not the keynote speaker.

The networks only covered an hour or two each day. Most voters probably didn't even pay attention, sadly. Even less voters paid any attention to Ron Paul and even less paid any attention to the Paul Fest, because there were a million things going on.
We cower at one bad article in the media about a non campaign event which was not sanctioned by the official campaign but was organized by the grassroots.

When the next campaign starts, I am sure there will be some really bad stories, Rand Paul will be attacked, that is part of politics. You can't be afraid of your own shadow over one or two small stories about the Paul Fest.

OMG, small government conservatives are being attacked!!

"all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."

The Maine walkout.

The Maine walkout.

I followed the Maine walkout, but if you were to do a poll, that term might not even register with one percent of the US population. Just like many people can't even name the vice president, much less a senator or congressman.
