I wish we could move on too. But MSNBC just did an interview with Jesse Jackson, I don't think moving on is an option.
But the thing is only uber-liberals give any consideration whatsoever to MSNBC or Jesse Jackson, these people would never in a million years consider voting for a constitutional conservative.
Besides, it's not like this issue is going to stay on huffington post and MSNBC.

THERE IS NO MOVING ON...
I don't have two decades invested in advocating a liberty message and confronting government intervention for Rand Paul to shit on the foundation of the liberty message.... private property rights.
Rand Paul ought to decide if he wants to be in the liberty business or the politician business.
Post New Deal jurisprudence on the commerce clause has been screwing Americans over for a century now. It used to be commerce was defined as trade and viewed as a delegated power to make interstate trade regular. Post New Deal it has come to mean Congress has the authority to define what the word Commerce means via the ballot box. The private property mandates in CRA and ADA are monumental milestones infringing private property.
He should really flip this around on his critics. I would say something like this to any interviewer who presses the subject:
"If you wanted to have an intelligent debate about this, that would be nice. But you don't, you want something sensational. My opponent wants something sensational to fire up the voters. While I obviously have different views than you about where to draw the line on government interfering with private businesses, I have always and repeatedly stated unequivocally that I fiercely oppose all forms of racism. And in so doing, I oppose what you (the media), and my opponent are doing: playing the voters who legitimately care about racial issues in society, manipulating their sincere concerns and beliefs for your own political benefit. You imply that I'm racist even though anyone who listens to more than five seconds of my speeches knows I'm not. I say you ought to watch what you're doing, playing the race card for politics is one of the lowliest things you can do. What could be more insulting to those of us who REALLY believe in racial justice and fight for it every day? You bring Jessa Jackson on here to score some more low-hanging fruit political points. Is Jesse Jackson a friend to the black community, or a friend to the Democratic Party who is happy to pull his community strings like the small-time puppeteer that he is? Is MSNBC, is Rachel Maddow, are ANY of you friends to the black community, or are you just out to stoke the flames of hatred and racism so you can gain a senate seat in Kentucky?"
For better or worse, though...I am not Rand Paul.![]()

I agree with you, but why refight a political battle from the 1960s, when it is so incredibly tainted by association with racists and bigots. We know Rand's position on the commerce clause, and we know it is the constitutional position, so what is the problem. Things like the CRA aren't as crucial today because of the prevalent anti-racism perspective of the vast majority of Americans...
I agree. If he secretly believes in repealing parts of the CRA 1964, he shouldn't have made any press release at all.
good press release by Rand.
Any further attacks on Rand by Conway on this matter only serves in helping Rand out! Rand just has to say "Look at how outrageous these attacks are ! They even go so far as to say i would repeal the Civil Rights Act! Stop the dirty politics - send me to Washington!"
It just makes Conway look like a total doosh when he claims rand would support segregation. I mean it's so outrageous that no one will believe anything conway says after that.
