Also Randal was the last person to come into the room, right before trump. @14:00 into the video.

And at @21:40, that is a heck of a compliment for Randal from Trump: "And I can say, when you get Rand Paul on your side, it has to be positive."

Very proud of Rand. I have to commend him. I hope the relationship continues to provide benefits like this.

They are already declaring this EO as another sign of Trump's worsening mental state. They say Rand Paul is a pariah on the Hill and that no one should be listening to him. Both dem and rep leadership gatekeepers can't be happy with the optics of this.

The Revolution continues...

A good day, and Rand is looking good. Hope for the future!

...and he gave Rand the pen he signed it with. :) (31:20.)

but would doing that via executive order be constitutional?

Actually, yes. The HHS Sec answers directly to the President, and the way the order is written, it addresses what the Secretary "may" or "shall" do, which is merely clarifying how that is to be done. The President has issued directives based on the authority ascribed to him and the sec in the bill.

Are you talking about the EO today in the OP or what AUH20 proposed about removing the mandate via EO?

I'm talking about today's EO. Not worth a new thread for what appears to be the incremental dismantling of ACA.

yeah, todays EO was completely constitutional, randal had talked about that in depth in a number of interviews. I don't think he would have pushed for this so hard if he didn't think it was. I was referring to what AUh2o said about the mandate being next.
