Rand Paul's decision to skip the undercard debate turned out to be a brilliant move

When asked whether Paul’s statistics were notable, a Twitter representative said it was “honestly pretty impressive” for Paul to crowd out the other chatter on a Thursday evening, which will oftentimes be dominated by tweets about whatever major programs are on television.

The senator also managed to get noticed on other social platforms where he’s got a strong constituency.

According to Yik Yak, a popular social-media platform mainly used by college students, Paul received more mentions than New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) and Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) without being onstage. And he had by far the most positive chatter on the site, though he was talked about notably less on the platform than when he appeared onstage in a December debate.

Thanks for the caption and mello is on notice now (cuz I said so) that the next OP post w/ only a link will lead to a neg rep. I'm not playing anymore. Have some decency for God's sake.

Lol...I honestly don't give a shit if you give me a neg rep or not. That's like saying you're not going to be my friend anymore even though you live in another state & we've never met before.

It was the best possible move in the circumstances. It was certainly a gamble, but by making it, Rand managed to reject the dubious 'judgment' on his candidacy made by the debate organizers. He wouldn't play their game. The imaginative tangent he took showed that he is far more nimble a candidate than his detractors would lead us to believe. If there is an undetected Paul volcano rumbling in Iowa, then the reaction to Rand's debate decision might prove to be the first bit of lava to be spewed out.

It can be kinda annoying if you have time constraints and are trying to post from a small handheld device, but if they are posting from a computer then it's a bit lazy for sure.
