Rand Paul will participate in August 3rd Voters First Forum in NH - 6:30 pm ET on C-SPAN

Rand's idea to allow the deduction of education expenses over a period of time is an interesting and novel idea.

His presentation on restricting domestic surveillance to terrorists and invoking the 4th amendment was very well presented.

Rand did good.

Rand did well explaining how terrorism can be handled in a constitutional manner.

The moderator did not draw those questions from any voter poll or request, those were planted. Even with an obvious fix in, Rand held his own.

Decent first session for Rand. He settled down after misspeaking about "Obamacare", instead of "Planned Parenthood". Most probably didn't notice that slip-up.

Rand on now.

What foreign nation will you visit first if you win: Either Russia or China.

"Moderator" is grilling Rand, obviously the first and probably only hostile interview.

Indeed, but I think it worked in Rand's favor cause he knocked the hostile questions out of the park imo.

Holy crap they let Cruz talk a lot uninterrupted. I guess that says a lot about how good of a wordsmith Cruz is though.

Rand did okay. He started out sounding scripted, not off the cuff. Again, he has bad hair. He couldn't keep his indigestion under control...someone should've handed him a Tums. :o

Cruz points: Iran - 1 point. Israel - 1 point. Iran, Iran, Iran - 3 points. Iran - 1 point.

Cruz will stand up to the Washington cartel.

Cruz worries about Iran too much. He should concentrate on the problems we have here at home.

Cruz is worried about the national security of Israel and Europe over our own. Israel and Europe can take care of themselves.

'Washington Cartel' professional politicians in both parties representing the WDC status quo. This was the strongest point by Cruz.

Rubio starts off sounding like a lady of temperance, but I'm actually surprised that he's leaving the door open for medicinal marijuana.

Rubio does not support marijuana legalization. Says no additional intoxicants.

Rubio immigration needs to be fixed. No comprehensive law will work. Step 1, build the darn fence. E-verify to stop people from overstaying their visas. Step 2, modernize legal immigration based on merit. Step 3. Pay a fine, learn English get a work visa.

Fundamental question is economic change. Cites internet based business (Amazon, Uber, Air BnB). Russia - 1 point, Iran - 1 point.

Rubio. I simply don't believe Rubio on his immigration solutions, although some elements have merit. He says there are only 12 million here illegally. Who believes that? Just in the last week, the number has been reported as being above 30 million.

Rubio is fear mongering against Iran again. No wonder Iran wants and needs the bomb to protect itself from the West.
