HAMPSTEAD, N.H.—In short remarks at the BeanTowne cafe on Saturday, surrounded by Republican voters and legislators, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul hyper-charged his attack on the Clinton Foundation's tens of millions of dollars in donations from foreign countries.
"Anybody here think it's a good idea for Hillary Clinton to be accepting money from Saudi Arabia?" Paul asked. "Anybody here think that she ought to send it back to Saudi Arabia?"
Cheers and cries of "hear, hear" rose out of the crowd as Paul argued that donations from "a regime that punishes women who are raped" effectively terminated Clinton's credibility as an advocate for women.
"This is something we should be organizing a boycott of," said Paul. "Do you remember how when South Africa was misbehaving, we organized a boycott of South Africa? We should be boycotting Saudi Arabia, not taking money from Saudi Arabia's government."

Rand is going overboard with the rhetoric, IMO. Didn't he reference the Saudis and say the opposite thing when defending himself on the Cuba policy?

...I wonder what's in those 28 classified pages of the 9/11 report?

...and if a certain Senator might be anticipating the public reaction to that information when it is eventually released?

...and if a certain other former Senator and Secretary of State might be up shit creek as a consequence?

;)

That, would be brilliant.

Again with the good and bad Rand. One week he says something that pisses me off, the next week he comes around. Going overboard? if anything I would cheer him if he suggested we nuke the damn country. The country is more destructive than ISIS and its about time someone says something about it. But seeing as nuking Saudi is off the table and I hate sanctions, I think just boycotting Saudi will do for now.

Next week Paul will again clarify this week's statement.

I am beginning to think this is an intentional strategy on a couple of different levels for Rand Paul, despite the apparent pejorative from his critics. It keeps him from getting pigeonholed by the establishment and keeps the media falling over themselves to keep him front and center.

Why would you want to nuke the innocent people of a country when it's the leaders that are merely corruptly participating with our corrupt government?

How can you possibly like the idea of nukes while hating sanctions!

Yeah. I'm not down with nuking the country, but I am all for cutting off ties with them completely.

Something tells me that our gov't connection with them runs deeper than the Bushes. They are complete sleazebags on so many levels.

There's loads of people who are convinced that Israelis/Zionists run our government, but I've been convinced for years that the real foreign power calling the shots is Saudi Arabia and has been for decades.

They may even be calling the shots in Israel as far as I can tell. They are a surreptitious bunch--I want nothing to do with the Saudi gov't or the Israeli gov't--and the US gov't.

They're all a bunch of creepy, murderous goons.

If we wanted oil... how come we invaded iraq and not saudi arabia? If we wanted those responsible for 911... how come we invaded iraq and not saudi arabia?
