I think we need to go easy on attacking Rubio because he may or may not be the establishment opponent in the end. He is vital for the general election in Florida a must win state. If it is Rand Paul versus Hillary in 2016 many Florida Seniors that didn't vote for Obama may vote for Hillary. So Rubio needs to help Rand Paul carry the state with a good campaign for the GOP. Also, attacking Rubio could cause blowback and a lack of support in the general election.

Nah, Rubio has stumbled every time he's been put in the spotlight, and even sites like Redstate are pretty much calling for his head over the immigration bill. Let him destroy himself the way he has been doing. No need to waste ammo and piss people off, at least not at this point. There are others willing to take him down right now.

i disagree. talk radio is going to wrap itself around rubio even if amnesty passes. hannity and rush worship rubio. rand paul needs to show how he is different from rubio and press that home. rand is going to have to depend on small donors and he is going to have to have young people who normally dont participate get involved. maybe attack is too strong a word but he will go no where if he becomes rubio lite.

With any luck Graham and McCain will echo those attacks. Those two have been completely awesome to the point I'm surprised no one has called them controlled opposition. Anyone in the R party who comes out against Rand is associated with those two senators ... which is bad. Also, the more Graham and McCain hate him the more average people on both sides of issues like him.

Graham and McCain are horrible friends but useful enemies, if Rubio attacks then purposely lump him in with them. They'll help, they'd like him in their group to help out their credibility.

I've been thinking this for over a year. They are very useful to have around #StandWithRand or #SitWithLindsey...

Establishment is going to do what they know that works. Look at last year's primaries. Santorum was used to siphon off all the bible-thumpers and Bachmann was used to divert the tea-o-cons, leaving us to do battle with the warmongers. Then they will use the media to paint Rand as anything but a qualified candidate. If we are going to win the primaries we need to get those two groups and hold them and not let the media define Rand AND HIS SUPPORTERS.
