I think that's just how Periscope works when they end the stream.

I would like to watch Rand, watching the debate and he could just critque the other candidates and keep correcting their answers - or pointing out the way the moderators phrase questions to force a certain narrative, stuff like that. That might be fun. (It just occured to me that that's pretty much what I do when I watch a debate… except I start yelling and cursing)

That's kind of what I was hoping for.
Mike Gravel did that back in '08 when he was booted from the debates.

He lost many viewers with the way the stream is set up.

It's not very intuitive how the stream was supposed to work initially and some people had trouble finding a link. I also think there should have been a message that replaced the screen indicating that there is a break, instead of stopping the stream which confuses people.

Facebook trending is tricky. Sometimes stuff disappears from my trending feed after I've clicked on it.

Seems you cannot ask question from periscope using a PC, you have to have the IOS and Android app. So only people with the phone app.
