Rand Paul to rally at Iowa State on caucus day

Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul will make Iowa State University his final stop before Iowans cast their vote on caucus night.

Paul is planning to hold an "Iowa 10,000 Rally" at ISU at 5 p.m. on Feb. 1, hours before votes will be cast at caucus locations. Paul's campaign has set a goal of signing up 10,000 students to caucus for him on Feb. 1.

A specific location at ISU has yet to be announced, but details are below:

WHO: U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, 2016 Republican presidential candidate

WHAT: Iowa 10,000 Rally

WHEN: Monday, Feb. 1 at 5 p.m.

WHERE: Iowa State University campus. Specific location on campus has yet to be announced.

TICKETS are available here.

Looks like they already updated it:

WHERE: Curtiss Hall, Room 127, Iowa State University.

This is a great idea to reach back out to people that may have pledged months ago and make sure they're active the following day!

Right after that, they will be caucusing basically. Love that Rand is going to be on a campus that night. This campus has 2,000 pledged for Rand... That would be huge if we can get close to that.

They might need a bigger hall! :)

Well not sure if the "capacity" is because that's the amount of seating. Rand has been doing standing only events for awhile now. Regardless, this event is great! This should help get out higher vote counts at this college.

The last time Rand had a rally on campus they had 600 people there. Rand Paul being on campus caucus night is huge!

This is great news. I found with Ron it was fairly easy to do the sell. I, unfortunately, didn't do a follow up on primary day. It will be a great reminder that they are needed and appreciated.

Would be great to get all the students to each grab 2 or 3 friends right there on campus to participate too. I'm sure the campaign and their volunteers are planning something similar across the state.

He should be visiting Iowa colleges and not leave the state until after the caucus.
