Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul will make a campaign trip to New Hampshire later this month to stump for Mitt Romney, a source familiar with the plans told POLITICO.

The trip to New Hampshire is scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 20, the source said. Paul has appeared at Romney-Ryan events recently in Ohio and is scheduled to visit that state again for the GOP ticket over the next week.

Vote for Mitt, his foreign policy is all wrong! - Rand Paul.
I cannot recall another time when a surrogate for a campaign criticized the candidate as harshly as Rand did about Romney's foreign policy. I wonder if/when they will blame Rand if Romney loses. Does anyone know if Limbaugh or Hannity spoke about this today?

I would have preferred if they had blamed us (Ron's supporters).

Rand Paul has already been to NH several times. 1 time he spoke at a function less than 3 miles from my home. Another time, he spoke to us at his birthday party.

Foreign policy changes would play well in NH, especially if Paul isn't speaking anywhere near the Nashua, NH area where several defense contractor facilities are located.

I see where you're coming from but there's no way anyone can land blame on Rand for Mitt going down just because he had issues with his FP stances. Rand went out of his way w/ the endorsement early on as well as going around predicting that Mitt wins, so he's more than covered his ass and I'm sure this was intentional. Tho a party player, it definitely sets him up as the leader of the non-establishment element of the GOP. His book got his issues and name out to more of the grassroots conservatives that listen to the standard right wing talk shows and this ordeal over Mitt's FP stances strengthens his base. Then, making the rounds in the first in the nation primary state on the nominee's behalf is another pawn move on the chess board going forward. He is everything I was hoping he was going to be and more.

This benefits Rand in the 2016 NH primary. Basically, Romney is doing free advertising for Rand. Sometimes you gotta be smarter than the neocons.

This is exactly it. He's getting his name out. It's such a simple concept. I'm thinking about going to see him when he comes. If I do, I'll report back.

LOL. I was thinking exactly the same thing. Rand is using this time to completely distinguish himself from Mittens. Rand is brilliant. I would think Mittens wants to strangle Rand right about now. But Rand always remembers to toss in, with every MSM interview, that Romney "would make a great President."
