Don't get carried away just yet. Out of a million calls only 37K support and that includes "maybes" which we have no clue the real breakdown.

Rand needs a break out soon while either Trump or Cruz crashing, preferably the later. If Rand does break soon in say a week and the media jumps on it, the sheep will follow us leaders. Slam dunk win!

Not phonecalls, (the campaign and Students for Rand are doing these too) but door-knocking, canvasing, and distribution of targeted reading material - and then they will follow up on making sure all the committed ones and probable voters get to the actual caucus. But, of course, not all will actually attend, that never happens for any candidate.

To contrast, the Trump campaign will be beginning the bulk of their phone canvassing in a couple weeks, they will go door to door if the weather is nice, and on caucus day, their GOTV will target registered Republicans only. They have no idea who these people will caucus for when they get there. And this is just going to happen in the 2 largest counties. If it's not snowing.

34k is great as long as a good amount of them aren't in the maybe category. But if this is all accurate and not all "maybes" and the campaign pulls in their 10,000 students then it seems getting 20,000 votes it's a reasonable expectation and should put him in 2nd or 3rd.

Man I hope they have something epic planned for their town hall tonight and keep up the media frenzy.
If Rand can beat Cruz in Iowa that would be amazing.

Winning elections are not about percentage support, but the bringing of those people to the polls. Someone with 15% who brings 90% of his supporters to the polls beats someone with 50% who only brings 1/4th of his supporters to the polls. Elections are not about % support, they are about GOTV.

IIRC this is the first time Iowa has held their caucus while school was in session in something like 80 years.

It is a big difference to have school in session and it will be interesting to see how much higher we can get the turnout to be because of it.

Rand holds an event at a school, the campaign collects the student's info and gets them to sign up with Students For Rand, then Rand meets and takes a picture with them.

After that their Students For Rand chapter keeps in contact with them, holding meet ups and watch parties with free food, hopefully getting them to volunteer.

On February 1st, it's going to be a lot easier to get those students to go vote when they're all together on campus and can meet up as a group and go to the caucus together. Especially if they provide transportation.

This is how important phone from home is, extremely important because you need the manpower to "Get Out The Vote" and contact those 37k people when it REALLY counts.

All those who have been putting it off, dust off your political activism boots because its time to put it all on the line every minute, hour, days worth of calls you can give is going to count.

need to reread...first out of the million calls, they whittled it down to those who PLAN to caucus.

This means theres about a million people called who plan to sit on their duffs and let the country continue going down the toilet.
