Rand Paul Super Pac - $3 Million Haul

This is big! 37k identified to be supporters. Hopefully they all make it to the caucus!

If 37k would caucus for Paul, some people would seriously get brain aneurisms. Not even kidding.

Winning elections are not about percentage support, but the bringing of those people to the polls. Someone with 15% who brings 90% of his supporters to the polls beats someone with 50% who only brings 1/4th of his supporters to the polls. Elections are not about % support, they are about GOTV.

Yup, and especially in caucuses.

There's a reason Ron did better in caucuses than primaries.

Right...and candidates with impassioned supporters typically get out to vote in a higher percentage. Bodes well for Rand.

I wonder if this includes the students? Because if you can add another 10,000, then the no-shows won't make a difference as Rand would win in a RANDSLIDE.

I don't know. I think it's all a bit cloudy. Honestly, If 50% of 37K turn out, that's still 18.5K. Including some speeches etc. at the caucus they may capture all or nearly all of the delegates and a very significant portion of the vote. It's a crowded field and even the media is assuming multiple votes at the convention now... So there will be more attention towards who's actually getting the delegates. If this would have happened in 2008 or 2012 Ron would have won. This should be a BIG motivating factor!

IIRC this is the first time Iowa has held their caucus while school was in session in something like 80 years.

No, that's Students for Rand who is doing that very well. (Outgrowth of the official campaign)

The Concerned American Voters Super-PAC is independent of the campaign, (forbidden by law to coordinate, but they have a lot of the same voter lists to help them avoid going for the same people twice) but it would be counter-productive to specifically target students as well. So you can add in the 10.000 in addition!

3 million in NEW fundraising for CAV is really good! They should double down on their work in Iowa and Nevada. (Too late to expand to NH for the same type of ground game) I think in the last few days it's finally becoming fun again to be a Rand supporter again after so many months of negativity!)

Don't get carried away just yet. Out of a million calls only 37K support and that includes "maybes" which we have no clue the real breakdown.

Rand needs a break out soon while either Trump or Cruz crashing, preferably the later. If Rand does break soon in say a week and the media jumps on it, the sheep will follow us leaders. Slam dunk win!
