Rand Paul Super Brochures!

These only need to be sent to past 2008-2012 Ron supporters In Iowa, NH, and NV. The campaign does have literature going around in the first states.

I agree that something like this is much more appropriate for previous hardcore supporters. It's not going to win over people who aren't yet interested. You need a less cluttered and more to the point simple approach for that. Something to entice people to learn more. They have to want it before they'll do it. Make them want to learn more about Rand. Don't make them learn more about Rand.

These are the official campaign door hangers for Iowa:

I think the RPF gripe is that the prices are overinflated and that the brochures do more harm than good. I wasn't around when the brochures went out for Ron but many here are adamant against it.

Early ones had errors, slightly less early ones had pictures of coffins, and even the ultimately approved ones contained incorrect information (which is going to happen when you have such a massive amount of information combined with variable text). They don't look good, and they scream TL;DR to the average person who's already not very interested.

Were the Slim Jims a failure too or did they actually work? Or maybe we can focus on flyers and infographic brochures? :(

And they are not targeted in any way. Too many issues. All it takes is for the reader (If they even read them) to find one issue that gives them heartburn and that's where they will focus. It doesn't allow the issue to be explained. And definitely not in the way the specific voter would need it explained.

It's a nice thought, but your money is probably best spent elsewhere. Donate to the campaign. If you're maxed out, help out the volunteers. Give to a liberty SuperPac. The brochures can be very counter-productive. They are designed for YOU - not for the person receiving them. Remember that.

Yep... this one has errors as well.

Hopefully they've at least fixed the bumper stickers they were giving away to show a current American flag.

ETA: Nope, and it's wrong in the logo for "Forever Free" as well.

I'm working on taking the words from the Super Brochures out and simplifying them (wonder if it will work?). I think I'll create personalized Rand Paul brochures. :D

Target the message to the demographics you're trying to reach

Grat idea, thanks! I'm also purposely avoiding the constant "I think" with "I will" or "I support" since it seems that the sheep electorate needs to be treated as if it were being scholded. Reminds me of the days when I used to listen to Alex Jones and remember his "just sit down and shut up" quotes, which I still remember! :D

No, just no.

You probably can't make it any worse at this point. But the reason these are no good is that they are just word diarrhea. Most voters are low information single issue. So campaign messaging is targeted to the single issue the vote cares about and omits those they may disagree with.

To be honest, it seems Immigration and Foreign Policy is the hot topic. Honestly, I would instead invest in making super brochures that have only those 2 topics the clearly state and clear up any misconception of Rand's immigration and FP.

But... since Rand is struggling to break into the 10's percentage in polls, I guess super brochures probably wont hurt.

Superbrochures could keep him from polling double digits, the key here is we don't know. The campaign does internal polling, and has a much better idea what messaging produces what results in what demographic.

For those who are looking for things to do to help the campaign- they also do phone canvassing, which they have to pay for. You can volunteer your time and save them money:

Undeniably effective strategy
