Precisely. It's these kinds of things that make some supporters question Rand's motivations or worse, his intelligence. It was the same when he gave his big immigration speech, and chose Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (?!?!?) as a setting.
Only here. Not anywhere else.
I'm having people contacting me asking me why I'm supporting a Pro-Amnesty candidate and I have to explain to them that Rand Paul is not Pro-Amnesty and the borders must be secure (which won't happen) before Rand Paul will even consider putting it on the table.
Immigration Reform/Amnesty is a hot button issue like Abortion. People freak out if you give the impression that you may support it.

Well, when you post about it on parts of the open board, you are spreading it on Google. You know that. And if you use a misleading title that doesn't accurately characterize Rand's stance, you are spreading that too.

Most Hispanics vote for Democrats and with the face of America changing, it's probably wise, if you want to have a chance in hell of a higher office, to let them know that you are not their enemy.
Rand is very intelligent and by the way, amnesty is a huge issue for me. I don't want it in any way, shape, or form.
I just said "Rand Paul's Support Just Dropped" which is true. People that would normally support Rand Paul are leery of him because he is "open to immigration reform ..." The "if ..." part doesn't matter because Rand Paul just invoked a emotional response and logic flies out the window.

Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is not representative of the American Hispanic community to put it mildly...It speaks for cheap labor interests more than anything else. This is what was so troubling about Rand's immigration speech, even more troubling than the contents of it.
When Obama gave his major speech on immigration reform he went to Las Vegas public school, full of sweet little Mexican children. Now, that's how you do PR.

That's dishonest of you Frank to snip my post like that. Here's what I said again.
Those were my thoughts exactly. "I'll support immigration reform as long as you take the core of it out." I don't understand the point of the
Ron Paul said he'd support immigration reform if it included getting rid of the welfare state. And as others have pointed out, Ron said he'd support John McCain or Mitt Romney if they totally changed their platforms.
Regardless, it what you really care about is Rand's electability you should applaud this move. He has effectively outflanked Marco Rubio who is his only real competition at this point. If Chris Christie jumps in the race, he will hardly be a factor in courting conservatives with his whole "Praise be Obama for helping with Sandy" grovelling.

A) Everyone and their mama knew that whoever Barack "peace prize" Obama picked for that post would have to do some warmongering.
B) The main opposition ot Hagel was that he wasn't "warmongering enough".
C) The point that you're dodging is that you said Rand's position on Hagel would hurt him politically. It didn't.
You completely missed the entire reason why I created this thread.

Let me guess. It's to claim that is hurting himself for saying that he might support the right kind of immigration reform? I haven't missed it. I disagree with it. The part of my post that you snipped explains why.
