Those were my thoughts exactly. "I'll support immigration reform ....." I don't understand the point of the OP.

Yes, and Chuck Hagel has been quite the warmonger lately.
More recently, co-founder Michele Flournoy authored a study that argued against a fixed timetable for withdrawal from Iraq.
We'll be sitting in limbo until Rand Paul votes NO on Immigration Reform because the borders will not be secured.
Meanwhile the propagandists will run with the "Rand Paul supports immigration reform/amnesty" slogan.
Get ready for some major damage control.
Whatever happened to national sovereignty?
Much like Ron said he could support Romney if he changed on foreign intervention, civil liberties, monetary policy, and budgeting,.

Meanwhile the propagandists will run with the "Rand Paul supports immigration reform/amnesty" slogan.
Only here. Not anywhere else. Are you one of the propagandists, Frank, because you sure seem to be running with that slogan.

I'm having people contacting me asking me why I'm supporting a Pro-Amnesty candidate and I have to explain to them that Rand Paul is not Pro-Amnesty and the borders must be secure (which won't happen) before Rand Paul will even consider putting it on the table.
Precisely. It's these kinds of things that make some supporters question Rand's motivations or worse, his intelligence. It was the same when he gave his big immigration speech, and chose Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (?!?!?) as a setting.
Well, when you post about it on parts of the open board, you are spreading it on Google. You know that. And if you use a misleading title that doesn't accurately characterize Rand's stance, you are spreading that too.
Most Hispanics vote for Democrats and with the face of America changing, it's probably wise, if you want to have a chance in hell of a higher office, to let them know that you are not their enemy.
Rand is very intelligent and by the way, amnesty is a huge issue for me. I don't want it in any way, shape, or form.
1% of the vote. That's fine. As a libertarian, I support free travel and migration across borders as well as amnesty.

That's dishonest of you Frank to snip my post like that.
You completely missed the entire reason why I created this thread.
People that would normally support Rand Paul are leery of him because he is "open to immigration reform ..." The "if ..." part doesn't matter because Rand Paul just invoked a emotional response and logic flies out the window.Let me guess. It's to claim that is hurting himself for saying that he might support the right kind of immigration reform? I haven't missed it. I disagree with it. The part of my post that you snipped explains why.
