Don't get me wrong, the interview was certainly better than nothing, he was very fair and respectful during the interview itself, I just wish he wouldn't try to bash him afterwards on the very next call.
I still wish Rand would reframe his "reduce military spending" line as "eliminate waste in the Pentagon" or "refocus military spending focusing on defense and not offense" and discuss removing inefficient/redundant programs etc. His making it sound like he wants to just reduce spending in general without offering more substance can make him seem weak on defense. It's harder to argue against eliminating waste and making things more efficient.
Agree that would go over better. But the basic fact is that Levin and especially Hannity are not fiscal conservatives. They still want to throw as much money as possible at the military. They prioritize that over everything.
