Rand Paul meets with Nigel Farage

I think Rand's light blue, loose fitting jeans are a good "average Joe" touch.

I'd like to see him wear flannel at some point.

I agree. It plays well to the Republican base... at least where I come from.

They were in style in 1988. It doesn't look "wholesale american", it looks lazy and completely out-of-date.

I think it's safe to say nobody there is gonna be splitting the atom anytime soon.

Those are the only jeans I wear to this day. Of course, not quite as baggy as what he's got there in the op. As far as being out of date, it would do the country well if it's people reverted to an 80's way of thinking. It was a laid back time. You could say a lazy time, I'll give you that, but I'd consider that a plus too. Boots are a nice touch too. I think I've seen junior wear a nice pair of brown cowboy boots with those jeans a couple of times. Now, if he was really wanting to look good (or appealling maybe is a better word), he'd add a white tee shirt, ...oh..let's say a nice tan v-neck sleeveless sweater and a nice relaxed fit sport jacket (probably tan too) with it. Oh, and a nice belt too. With a good buckle.

I personally think that it's gey the way men dress today. And we wonder why we can't get the hens into the liberty movement.

Really? Hens? STFU. Maybe you could get more women in the movement if you didn't refer to them as poultry.

Yeah, I was just messing around about the hens part. Heh...

And, no, that getup that you posted with the hillbilly isn't my taste. I'm a good dresser. :)

I'm really picky...

80s jeans do not constitute being a good dresser. My husband wears them and I hate them. Granted I'm not saying skinny jeans are for everyone but there are more current alternatives.

These are what I would call "80's jeans" and are how they are supposed to fit.

Sorry for the picture. It's the first one I found that matched what I was looking for. nice belt, too, come to think of it. And so you could take a pair of jeans like that and make them go with a lot of nice clothes, really. Actually, I've done it with a nice white button down and a jacket.

Of course, like you said, to each their own and there are a vast number of alternatives. I suppose it just matters what kind of frame you have at the end of the day.

He can wear the designer black jeans on the seaboards and domestic blue jeans in flyover country. Or just compromise with Wranglers.

But the blue jeans definitely need to be a darker blue than in this picture with Farage. Especially when there is a lot of natural light. Is that Hart Senate Office Building?

ok, last bit of fashion advice from me: never ever wear a suit coat with jeans. even if you're in Vermont. lame look.

The only difference today is that nice clothing is much more form fitting to svelte body types. The era of the 4XL is over, or should be over. If I dressed the Liberty Movement women would be busting down the doors to enter :D
