Rand Paul interview w/ Jonathan Karl of ABC News, 11/19/12

No immigration without welfare, social security, and government subsidized loan reform. It's bad enough that foreigners, who weren't invited here, have children that are then given MORE that the average American (affirmative action, subsidized loans, scholarships, housing).

Get rid of the safety net, give a lower form of "permanent resident" that does entitle one to these things, than fine.

STEP 2, put all the the Americans on the same path to self sufficiency.

It seems Rand is gettinga lot more negative comments than Ron ever did on some of the other media sites that have the same video.

Fix monetary policy, end the FED, and wipe out about a bazillion pages of needless legislation and you'd find that $10/hr job actually pays pretty darn good.

I'm with ya - its a package deal. But it's not going to happen overnight, and it won't happen all at once.

That's one reason I like Rand so much - he plays politics so much better than his Dad ever cared to. Ron is the messenger, Rand is the get 'er done.

I hope it starts with sound money/End the Fed. The rest will be easier to deal with when the Fed is out of the way.

Wow in the past 24 hours I've seen this story picked up by all of the webpages I check daily. And I heard it first thanks to jct74... thanks man!

doubleplusrep!

I'll vote for him as long as the mainstream media and neocons don't get behind him.

People like you are just maddening to me. You will never support a winning candidate then. This is your country not your favorite indy band. If you agree with Rand's policy then vote for him. Don't act like a whiny hipster that can't like anything that becomes popular.

He doesn't seem serious. Isn't he a troll account anyway?

If you have been here 10 or 20 years then I'm not going to say you can't become like the rest of us

*Beautiful* phrasing. It subtly ties 'amnesty' to assimilation. If you are against amnesty then you are against assimilation. Who is against assimilation?

Yeah. As long as the learn english, learn US history, learn the constitution, have not committed a felony or violent crime... and basically adapt the US culture, they are one step closer to becoming citizens.
