Rather interesting that Rand is in 5th place for total money raised so far in GOP race, yet whole article has a negative slant about him.

Also interesting, to me, is that Ted Cruz is in second place....something smells fish to me about him...the money is coming form super PACS...who?what?why? He is not who he portrays himself as being, that's all I can say.

Sorry, I wish I knew how to embed the graph from this article...

Weigel's whole passive/aggressive shtick is really starting to try my patience, but I am happy to see that Rand Paul is bringing in a respectable haul to compete with the massive soft-money machines of Bush and Cruz.

CPUd....thanks for embedding the graph...how did you do that?

Half of Rand's money is coming from us, the people....I still don't get Cruz...Carson is impressive as all of his money is coming from individual donations.

I just took a screenshot and uploaded to imgur.

The Ben Carson numbers are insane. I think he is sucking up a lot of Rand's potential support

Carson's got the evangelical support, his fundraising skyrocketed after his Muslim in the Oval comment.

The current spending rate of the campaign, with the 4.5 million on hand, will keep the campaign running until December 30, 2015, if donations completely halted today.

Staying competitive! Go Rand!

Why is everyone else's funding N/A? Is the information for theirs not out yet?

I went to a Carson speech a couple days ago and I can tell that he is drawing from Rand with mentions of auditing the fed, creating sound money backed by gold, reducing the debt and creating a small constitutional government. Carson has talked favorably about Rand and Rand has about Carson, if Carson drops he will most likely endorse Rand. Carson's base will go to Rand if Cruz is not out by then, if Cruz is in, half will go to Rand.

Some time after the first debate, he moved from astroturf to real grassroots. These are non-Paul activists who were somewhat allies in 2012, especially in Texas. If Carson is still in after Iowa/NH, we will be seeing these people, they will be competitive in the caucus/convention settings. Rand grassroots will be a lot more experienced though. Overall, it will be a good thing for the party, as this is the way the nominee was intended to be chosen. With 2 grassroots groups having strong presence in the conventions, the Jeb/Rubio people are going to have a much harder time trying to steamroll through.

This isn't good news. Donations to Rand Paul plummeted in the 3rd quarter compared to the 2nd quarter as his poll numbers dropped. And I'm sure Fiorina is raking in the cash now. Notice that only Carson and Paul have announce Q3 numbers in the graph.

Don't get too worried about the other campaigns' cash, the more cash they have and the less experienced they are, the more the consultants and fundraisers will strip them clean.

I only pray that Rand is running a moderately lean campaign, that would give him an edge.

The current amount of cash on hand would last the campaign until December 30th, if all fundraising stopped today

The money that the superPac raised, which is 6.9 mil of the 16.3 mil, cannot be coordinate with the main campaign. Walker and Perry had demonstrate superPAC money doesn't help the main campaign at all. Both drop out despite their superPAC still have plenty of money left over. Dr. Paul had about 9.4 millions raised as of the end of September. Of that 9.4 millions, 2.77 millions were spent before July. From July to September, how much was spent? I don't know. But his cash on hand should be 6.63 millions or less. If we assume, Dr. Paul had spent about 2.77 millions since July. Then he have about 3.86 millions on hand.

Total raised: $6,932,779.14 (this # was around up to the figure of 7 millions that reported in many articles)
Total spent: $2,771,264.00
Cash on hand: $4,161,515.14
Debt: $716,442.99

?? Where did you get 4.5 millions? I look around and I found this, "Paul’s total puts him ahead of candidates such as Mike Huckabee, Rick Perry, Carly Fiorina and Rick Santorum in terms of total raised and cash on hand ($4.1 million)." But that was in July.
