Rand Paul winning...BUT TEA PARTY CANDIDATE TED CRUZ IN A CLOSE 2ND....!!

I remember last year when they announced there was a "virtual tie" between Rand and Rubio, when Rand beat Rubio by 2%.

I can't believe that people would travel to CPAC and vote for Chris Christie. Isn't there a RINOPAC or NEOCONPAC where they would feel more comfortable?

I missed the first 3 minutes of FNC at 2pm so not sure if they mentioned Rand winning the straw poll

But at 2:11 promo Rick Perry CPAC, 2:15-2:17 all Rick Perry CPAC speech coverage (one mention of Santorum speaking) 2:17 Then a Rasmussen poll showing Hillary 1st, Jeb Bush 2nd. 2:18 onto IRS. LOL

If Rand wins this really ups the ante for 2015.... the expectations game becomes harder

GIves all of the past YAL attendees and Rand CPAC supporters more incentive to win so their efforts in the past aren't wasted. I am hoping to attend CPAC next year, the last CPAC before Iowa 2016..yay.

Minus Rand I'd say pretty much all those politicos are neocons. Including Ted Cruz. He's hawkish on foreign policy and don't forget his wife's Goldman Sachs/CFR connections.

What about the Republicans living in the area? There are Beltway Republicans...

Cruz's recent comments on the Ukraine situation could very well have come from the mouth of John McCain. It's depressing, really.

Depressing, Yes
Surprising, No

It's long been glaringly clear that Rafael "Ted" Cruz is a neocon.

And foreign policy is a big deal, because it develops the statist germ in all other areas...like higher taxes, higher debt, decline of civil liberties, police state, surveillance, etc.

That's what made Ron Paul well Ron Paul. He refused to play ball on this most crucial of issues. Rand says what he has to sometimes, but it is also clear that at heart he has the same views as Ron.

“Of all the enemies of public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies. From these proceed debts and taxes. And armies, debts and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the dominion of the few. . . . No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.”
~ James Madison
