Rand Paul coy about presidential ambitions

Why.... Book sales baby!

Never say never. Well I say not in 2012. Ain't happening.

Don't let it bother you. He's raising media awareness.

There were a lot more stories on his budget proposal that got buried under Lybia and Japan, as well.

Pawlenty picked a bad time to declare. Apparently it made not a single nightly news broadcast.

I could say with almost full certainty that a Rand Paul run will be just as good for liberty as a Ron Paul run but for different reasons. The major difference is the out come..Rand Paul could actually win...by win I mean be the Republican nominee in 2012.

Honestly I would be more excited about a Ron Paul run because I'm just that kind of guy. But to the people who say that Rand shouldn't run because he lacks political experience..I have a question for you..What has political experience ever done for liberty?

Now I hope that Ron doesn't run.

His republican primary rhetoric didn't work in 2008 and he has made few or no changes since then. We know that Rand's framing worked very well in at least one state in 2010.

If there is a severe economic downturn soon, Ron may be the better candidate, but otherwise I think that Rand is the clear choice.

The GOP is as antiwar as it is going to get right now, Ron clearly predicted the downturn that just happened and fought the bailouts SINCE the last election, and Ron has a 20 year record. Rand has some bright words. He simply didn't have enough time, yet, at least. I would support him enthusiastically, if Ron decided not to run, but I don't think Rand has the skill yet with attacks that Ron has. And boy will he get them. Here is Ron on this subject as well as Libya, etc.
