Rand Paul brochure

Wouldn't hurt sending them to past Ron supporters in IA, NH, NV, and other early/caucus states. That is the use for them imo

Survey sez, not legit:

TLDR: brochure guy claims i got paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to mount a conspiracy against his brochure, doesn't answer questions about why he charges so much for them, isn't transparent, daily paul puts ad for brochure at top of page, nayjevin throws hands in air and says 'fine liberty movement, if that's what you are I am going to have a nice warm cup of coffee and sweep the driveway and come back in a few minutes and be the change I want to see in the world some more and laugh.'

I just took a close look, and IMO the brochure itself is very well done, and it doesn't make it appear as though it's coming from the official campaign (=good).

OP, what is the total cost per mailer? And who's going to be receiving them?

It would be worth more to canvass, make calls, or donate to the campaign or one of the super pacs.

Locals know best about what will get their neighbors to vote for or against someone. If you can identify grassroots groups in one of the early states you could just send them money to help with their printing costs for materials that are specifically designed for the local population.

My county grassroots Paul group did this to great effect in '08 & '12. Paul won our county both times. We were fortunate to have multiple wealthy supporters but not all Paul groups were as lucky.

At best, the super brochures had mixed results. Won some votes and lost others -- likely more than we gained-- so resources could be better utilized.

^^^I also highly recommend both of those.

Not necessarily to the exclusion of the superbrochure though: need more information.

If they're just going to former Paulites, and the price is decent, I think it's a good idea.

I had mixed feeling about the brochure in 2012, but at this point the campaign is not putting out literature and is being labeled by his enemies, while not perfect I don't see this brochure being detrimental and would in fact be a net positive. The campaign needs literature ASAP.

The guy who is heading this posted here about it a while back.. of course he got driven out by most of the forum members.

Compared with 2012 the campaign is behind in tv ads, literature, and grassroots youtube videos. We need to get Paul's name out there by these means, the campaign is not pulling the trigger so the grassroots needs to step up and force them to put out some material.

Yea, I remember that thread. But this is 5 months later, and I don't know if their mailing strategy or prices have changed.

To briefly explain why I think this is a good idea (assuming it's being sent to Paulites and only Paulites):

The official campaign can print and mail literature cheaper than any grassroots organization; it has better lists; it's better able to target voters with material specific to their interests. HOWEVER, there's one thing the campaign absolutely cannot do - send out material from the grassroots. There are a lot of disillusioned Paulites out there, who may think that Rand sold out, "went Hollywood," abandoned his father's grassroots base; people who may still be angry about the (perceived) misdeeds of the official campaign last time round. Official campaign literature is not going to be very effective on such people. But receiving something like the superbrochure, which tells them that the grassroots is firmly behind Rand, which reminds them of the good old days, could do wonders. It's a "come to Jesus" message.

Or have Ron Paul recorded endorsements calling all the people on his list. Or ask him to make calls too.

The Super Brochure guy was a very ambitious capitalist, to say the least

We should just replicate the work he's done and make our own super brochures.

Yea, if people don't trust this guy for whatever reason, we should.

The designing, printing, and mailing is easy (just need money).

The problem is the list. He's got a list from 2012, we don't (at least I don't).
