As noted here...
I was interested in any questions site members would have for Rand Paul as I was going to be able to ask him a question or two. At this point, the mission has been accomplished. I appreciated all of the questions, it certainly would have been great to get to ask a lot but I was more than pleased with the outcome. Here's the run-down...
To the first point, I wasn't able to ask but Rand has a very consistent and even-tempered demeanor which allows him to manage situations.
He did talk about his meetings with Trump. Rand's well tempered demeanor has allowed him to provide his view / input to Trump, who respects him. Apparently they meet periodically.
This would be good to know but he certainly wouldn't tip anything not already known.
Good question but I wasn't able to ask it as the philosophical nature would have needed a lot of time. He did however talk about the difficultly of advancing our message since we are selling an intangible concept that has delayed benefits.
I thought this was a very practical question and I was able to ask it. A few points on his response:
- E-mail reps on hot issues, they will receive statistics (90% are in favor...)
- Find the best pro-liberty candidates in primaries and pile up support.
- Join a group and get involved.
[Side note: Pretty simple and sound, IMO. Also... http://www.ronpaulforums.com/forumdisplay.php?343-Liberty-Campaign-Evaluation ]

Thanks again to everyone who asked questions, sorry I wasn't able to get more. Hopefully we can do something like this again soon.

Good question, I couldn't quite get this question in but he did talk some about the SCOTUS and the general take is to do it right.Senator Paul, is it important to rush through a crappy SCOTUS nominee like Kavanaugh before the election, considering that he may be on the court for decades?
Feel free to rephrase that.
I was able to ask what is the best way to improved monetary policy, he said there is little appetite for change but thinks an audit the fed is a great first step. An audit should be a much easier sell since we're not changing anything and there shouldn't be any harm in trying to understand what the fed is actually doing.HOW DO YOU PUT UP WITH ALL THIS EVIL VILLAINY, DO WE ACTUALLY HAVE A CHANCE TO TURN THIS MONSTOSITY AROUND?
and
Why cant we end the fed?

I did bring up the site but didn't ask about visiting. We may have to get some aids or a Paul family member to get those tapes. lol.I'd be curious as to how much he's ever visited this site.
Also, does he have any tape of his 1984 debate against Phill Gramm, and can someone upload it to youtube?
edit: Also, anything about his conversations with Trump would be interesting.

Are you going to run for office again when your current term ends? If so which office?

Good point, he was thanked several times, I was unable to offer the same due to time, unfortunately. There is obviously a danger.I would thank him for everything he has done and tell him how grateful I am that he is using his talents to further the cause of liberty even in the face of eminent danger to his personal safety and wish him and his family the best.
Do you believe that libertarianism is the true opposite of big government and socialism, and therefore, libertarians are assailed from all sides? Should libertarians brand themselves as the true “resistance”?

What's the most important thing you wish libertarian supporters would do, or do more of?

This is a really good question, and also action based practical. I was able to ask the part on allies and also picked up some views from other statements. Here's what I got: Massie and Amash, obvious. Mike Lee was high on list. Ted Cruz can be good, it's helpful when he is leaned on. He gave praise to the Republican Liberty Caucus. Can you give us a sense of the amount and types of allies you have beyond the ones easily identifiable (Massie, etc.)? Naming names of people and organizations would be great, in addition to those within the administration and federal agencies, NGO's, media, etc. From my view, we're fighting an outnumbered and uphill battle. Is there a reason to be more hopeful?
