RAND PAUL 2016

I like the idea of Rand Paul for 2016 but think it is early at this point to attempt picking a running mate. Pat Buchanan was mentioned but that would be a very bad idea as he has lots of negative baggage. Rand Paul and Gary Johnson. At any rate, I think the movement needs a goal to focus on and beside policy fights in Congress, the idea of laying the ground for 2016 for Rand Paul makes sense.

The immediate groundwork is:

1. Win CPAC in January for Rand

2. Throw all our support behind Tom Davis in SC, take down Graham! It will cost at least $6 million to do so.

I think Rand would run because I think people saw how Rand was in Iowa when Ron ended up being 2nd/3rd place. He seemed pissed off during the Ron Paul speech after the Iowa caucuses.

As a son or daughter, you'd probably want revenge against the system that f**ked over your dad.

I will support him as long as he votes 95% the way he should vote.

I'm interested about CPAC. Are we looking to make a showing in 2013, or are we waiting until 2014?

If Rand wins CPAC in 2013 he needs to win in 2014 and 2015. Otherwise, it would have the appearance of Rand losing influence and appeal.

A good showing at CPAC 2013 is all that matters. It's not make or break. He doesn't have to win it.

I think 2013 would be worth doing because everyone in the media is asking where the republican party goes from here and we might get some earned media coverage or Rand might get some interviews out of it. He could start wearing his conductor's hat and start steering the party's direction early!

He wanted to destroy Santorum, you could see it. I think Rand really despises fake conservatives like that.

I like it. Steer the party Rand. Bring everyone together to right this ship.

Oh yeah, and Santorum dislikes libertarians. If I remember correctly, at one of the Faith and Freedom events where they both gave speeches, Santorum made a dig about libertarians, that seemed to be pointed at Rand... That's why I wonder if Santorum is thinking of running again, or maybe he's just bitter, I don't know.

sen. tom davis needs a subforum here and yes... dr. rand paul
can run in 2016 now after brilliantly paying his gop party dues!
