Rand - Obama Working With ‘Anti-American Globalists'

If the email really contains inaccuracies, he should address them or at least, distance himself from the content of the email. This reminds me of Ron's face appearing on John Birch literature and people trying to associate him with everything they put out. The scrutiny on Rand will be turned up to 11 if he runs, he needs tighter message control.

There are no "inaccuracies" to address. Half is fact. Half is reasonable opinion. To conservatives who hate the U.N. this will not be a problem.

I've looked looked through many sources to understand this treaty. As I understand, this treaty doesn't do anything in the way of law, as it leaves enforcement up to member nations, and it is really just a way of promising to do something at some point to regulate the international sale of arms. While gun groups are making tons of claims about gun registries, the email gets away with lots of exaggeration, with the phrase "you can bet." Nothing in the treaty, which is non-binding and has no international enforcement, mentions anything about registering and confiscating guns. It does keep record of weapons legally exported. Long story short the email uses uses hyperbole and fear to beg for donations, and I highly doubt Rand actually wrote it. Yes, we should keep an eye on this treaty. I personally oppose any such agreements . At the current juncture, however, it is just a vague, empty, feel good, resolution.
Drudge is linking this because its inflammatory, not because it reflects on Rand particularly well.

Liberal rag print hacks are trying to spin it as 'Rand inducing FEAR and SCARE for fundraising'... blah blah
