For one reason or another the mainstream media is doing the opposite of a blackout with Rand Paul.

makes you wonder don it?

Makes me nervous. Makes me think the puppet masters are going to hand Rand the White House, then pull the plug on the money supply, bond market, etc., and put an end to this "liberty" movement once and for all, in very grandstanding way. I hope he's two steps ahead of this.

Not really. Rand is a huge star. It took years, but we finally broke into the psyche of the American electorate.

I agree with you. I think this is simply the result of Rand being ahead of everything. That filibuster changed everything. It put him in the spotlight, and it was really the starting point to everything that is going on now.

Filibuster going mainstream viral would not have been possible unless we were all so persistent. The timing was just impeccable by all parties.

If Rand thinks he is even going to begin to put the brakes on some of this overreach, the powers that be are going to pull the plug and destroy everything, then blame libertarianism.

that sh*t is scary, but very possible.

I honestly don't think the "powers that be" are nearly as organized and 'in control' as many of us give them credit to be.

Could they fuck the economy? yea sure..but isn't that more or less what we want? for the fake-conomy to fail so we can free market this bitch?

Obama's been blaming the last 5 years of horrible policy on Bush's 8, why couldn't a President Paul do the same and blame it all on 16 years of straight up failure?

Seriously! I remember a bunch of people saying "The Powers That Be won't let Rand win! He's even running against the guy in charge of elections." We find ways to counter their tactics. We find ways to win. It's all about effective action and strategy. Even the greatest of forces are not invulnerable.

As recently as a year ago, we were still being called "one percenters". Now we have solid majorities of the public on our side on major issues, and the single most popular Republican in the country is of our tradition. In the meantime, the credibility of the establishment is imploding as we watch.

I'd say we've been in worse shape, movement-wise.

I think the abundance of media appearances will be useful in helping shape and mold the rhetoric. There are still many people who solely view Paul as a libertarian, as extreme, as fringe, not within the mainstream Republican Party. But I believe, starting with his speech at the RNC, part of what he's trying to do is properly tailor the message, show to both folks like us and the mainstream conservatives that he's one of them. Again, it's walking a narrow tightrope, but it does indeed help that maximum exposure gives him plenty of chances to send out his message. Whether they disagree, at least- most of the time- they give him a chance to speak.

I tend to think you are correct. I think the move toward NWO, the fleecing of everyday people, etc is more of a natural tendency based on human nature than a carefully orchestrated and timed evil plan.

Rand and countless people here certainly laid the ground work ahead of time so something like the Filibuster could take root and go viral so instantaneously. We plugged a lot of people in over the last few years.
