Rally For The Republic Ticket Info

ps ticketmaster is bullshit.

My sentiments exactly. "convenience fee" my ass. There's no way around it.

I am in 138, Row L. Not bad, I think. Should be a decent view from the back middle.

Everyone who has some should bring binoculars unless you are super close. If you don't own a pair, it might be worth a $20 investment to buy a small pair. You're sure to use them again.

why ticketmaster?

ticketmonger just sucks so bad. they overcharge for doing very little (must be run by liberal neocons).

there are alternatives to keep in mind for future events.

Don't quote me but I think there is a contract between the target center and ticketmaster

Uggh! ticketmaster!

Ticketmaster is evil- a true monopoly preying on not just Americans, but people around the world.

I was in the process of buying my tickets and aborted when I saw how much Ticketmaster was making on the transaction.

I assume they have a box office at the Target Center- will they be selling tickets there?

I'd rather not enrich Ticketmaster if I can help it!

I'm not in favor of government regulation, but it there is one true monopoly in the USA, its the a-holes at Ticketmaster, not Microsoft or oil companies or Walmart.

Update 6:52PM ET: What a day! We have sold out nearly half of the Target Center in less than 8 hours! I’m sure by the end of the day it will be halfway full. And we still have the weekend to go! A press release will be written to go out Monday morning. It sure would be nice to raise that total of tickets sold before that release crosses news desks. Many people have offered to buy tickets and give them away. That is great! You can mail extra tickets to the Campaign for Liberty headquarters, and we will be happy to offer them to supporters who can’t afford to attend or can’t get in when it’s sold out. Thank you so much for an amazing day. The Ticket Bomb was a success. We are on our way to a sell out!

Quoted anyway.:D

Yes. If you want Target Center there's no avoiding Ticketmaster, part of the package. Probably true most places that if you go for the large modern venue you're stuck with the legalized scalping giant as well.

Not again!

I was ordering my tickets and aborted when I saw the Ticketmaster rip off charges.

Will we be able to buy tickets at the box office the day of the event?

I don't care if I get "nosebleed" seats, its better than paying the evil bastards at Ticketmaster!

With a "basic ticket" going for $17.76 for the singularly most important "political" event in this century, lasting 10 1/2 hours, you're bitching about a $5.85 "processing fee?" I've heard of "cheep" but brother you really take the cake! There is a section already "saved" for delegates and other dignataries, what has been sold, is about 50% of general public seating. At this rate the remaining tickets will sell out by the end of the mount, if not this weekend. If you try to wait to but any "tickets" at the "event" from scalpers you're going to pay through the nose to get any. How much would you pay for a concert ticket to your musican/performer of choice?

When i called and asked about getting tickets without paying the convenience charges, the guy from Ticketmaster said you could maybe get them at the box office. If you're within driving distance, it might be worth it. Wait until the day of the event? It will probably (hopefully) be sold out.

I NEVER pay Ticketmaster's rip off prices. I don't go to concerts (they are generally a rip off anyway, even without Ticketmaster taking their pound of flesh). When I go to a sporting event, I always buy from the box office and avoid contributing to Ticketmaster.

I'd have no problem with a reasonable fee (e.g. $5-6), but Ticketmaster is nothing short of an extortion racket- in this case, grabbing $12 for each ticket sold.

Screw Ticketmaster, I'll wait til the day of the event, and if its sold out, fine- I'm sure I can find something to do...
