all I can say is we had 2 people walk out of our convention angry. One also threatened us because he was an "elected official" and we disrespected him by voting for our own slate. Ron Paul delegates-7 , others-0

We almost got away with that :)

As novices, we weren't prepared for the arguments and the pressure like you were. It was tough to keep at it against seasoned political people.

We had a majority though and should have pressed them completely out with majority rule.

did yall openly talk about ron paul during the meeting? A lot in my convention did and im pretty sure a neocon snuck in as an alternate by just agreeing w/ everything.

We didn't but we let one of the pro-war old geezers go on and on about how the young people should be signing up for the Iraq war like his father's generation did in WW2 as if there is a comparison. He also asked the election judge to turn the TV on fox news...so yeah, it was obvious who the enemy was if you pay attention.

we did not talk about Ron Paul, but at one point the angry guy yelled, "how many of you are Ron Paul supporters?" 0 hands went up. It was beautiful! We actually did have one other person as an alternate, but she was nice and wanted people who had never been delegates to have a chance. So we elected her as an alternate.
